Guest speakers
Monty Raphael QC (Special Counsel at Peters & Peters
LLP) will chair the event and provide an overview of the
criminal types operating in cyberspace and why the online
world is fast becoming more attractive than the real world.
David Emm (Principal Security Researcher in the Global
Research and Analysis Team at Kaspersky Lab) will share
some of the findings of recent research into illegal cyber
activity committed by young people.
Lee Murphy (Channel Development Manager in Commercial
and Private Banking at RBS) will discuss the constantly
evolving nature of fraudulent emails and their payloads that
are distributed by organised crime gangs and other malicious
groups.
Jayne Snelgrove (Detective Superintendent in the
Metropolitan Police Service) will highlight the challenges
facing law enforcement in policing cyberspace and what is
being done to proactively tackle the problem.
