Rockport Music is celebrating its 36th year of the Rockport Chamber Music Festival.
After 22 years of leadership, Artistic Director David Deveau will be retiring to focus on
his busy career as a performer, recording artist and professor. The Festival’s Opening
Night Gala is a special celebration honoring David and will feature world-renowned
violinist Joshua Bell. It continues with over 20 concerts and enrichment activities
through July 9 boasting some of the finest artists performing today, including pianist
Garrick Ohlsson, the Canadian Brass, and the Brentano Quartet to name just a few.
The 6th Annual Rockport Jazz Festival features an exciting week of artists including
John Pizzarelli with Daniel Jobim, Cécile McLorin Salvant, Fred Hersh and Danilo
Pérez. The summer wouldn’t be complete without our popular offerings, including
Maceo Parker, Lisa Loeb, Martin Sexton, the Subdudes and much more. New concerts
will continue to be announced, so make sure you check for added concerts on our
website rockportmusic.org as we get closer to the summer.

artists of our time, violinist Joshua Bell has become a bona fide superstar,

Two magnificently talented quartets—the Jupiter and Jasper Quartet—
join forces for a dynamic concert culminating in a combined performance
of the Mendelssohn Octet. The Jupiter has won first prize in multiple
competitions, including the Banff International String Quartet Competition
and the Fischoff National Chamber Music Competition. Winner of the 2012
Cleveland Quartet Award, the Jasper is the Professional Quartet-inResidence at Temple University's Center for Gifted Young Musicians.

Renowned as America's pre-eminent early music ensemble, The
Boston Camerata's musical performances are praised for their blend
of spontaneity with careful research and scholarship. The Camerata will
perform Tristan & Iseult, A Medieval Romance in Poetry and Music, based
on original medieval sources by Gottfried von Strassburg (ca. 1210) and
Thomas de Bretagne (ca. 1155–1160). For this presentation, Azéma has

Scottish fiddler Alasdair Fraser and cellist Natalie Haas have emerged as
