Chorus
Jingle Bells, Jingle Bells,
Jingle all the way. Oh what fun it is to ride in a one
horse open sleigh.
Dashing through the snow in a one horse open sleigh
o’er the fields we go, laughing all the way.
Bells on bobtails ring, making spirits bright. Oh what
fun it is to ride and sing a sleighing song tonight.
Chorus
A day or two ago, I thought I’d take a ride, soon Miss
Fanny Bright was seated by my side.
The horse was lean and lank, misfortune seemed his
lot, he got into a drifted bank and we were soon upsot.
Chorus

MESSAGE FROM from
RI President Dong Kurn Lee about
celebrating Family Month.
In December, focus on your family and
involve them in Rotary service, says
Lee in his message. Also, he says, remember that there are many families
and children who need help around the
world.
As Rotarians, he says, "We cannot and
will not rest until all children, everywhere, have the chance for a long and
healthy life."

PROGRAM:
Sally Ross Brown “Every Kid Mobility”
Jim Muellner introduced Sally, a 56 year old woman with Cerebral Palsy that
has authored the book “The Big Red Bike” a story of a 9 year old boy that
walks with crutches and wants to ride a bike. Sally was also voted in 2007 the
“Entrepreneur of the Year” by the Minnesota Council of the Disabled.
At age 50, Sally couldn’t walk very well and thought of biking. Looking on the
internet she came upon Just Two Bikes right here in Hugo. Sally remembers
how it all started when Jim Muellner pushed her, on one of his three wheel
bikes, down the driveway at his shop the first time and working with Jim Muellner to modify her bike.
Lucky not to be too seriously afflicted with CP Sally rode her bike in the 350
mile AIDS ride for a cure. She was the last person to finish the race. During
her ride she spent a lot of time alone and kept thinking about what to do with
her life.
In June of 2005 Sally founded Every Kid Mobility and has partnered with Just
Two Bikes to provide adaptive bikes for children with special needs. Sally
presented some pictures of some of the kids she has helped. There’s Ben
who walks a few feet and then falls, but now on a bike he can keep up with his
normal twin brother and is in heaven when on his bike. There’s Sonja who
has no arms and steers by shifting her weight, when she started she could
only turn one way but the bike was adapted to allow her to turn in either direction. There’s Chloe who uses a hand bike that allows her to ride with her
family.
Every Kid Mobility has found that with the adapted bikes the kids get stronger
and healthier and even at times prevent surgery after gaining strength. The
parents of these kids had no idea how the bikes could change the life of their
kids. The bikes cost between $3500 and $4000 but Every Kid Mobility helps
develop a funding plan for families.
