Presentation Macros
Change Lookup Table
tool
Allows for quick application of different LUTs for each channel
(Only lists the main LUTs – red, green, blue, magenta, yellow,
cyan, gray, Light Blue, HiLo (range indicator), 16 colours, and
spectrum). The Light Blue LUT has to be downloaded and saved
to the LUT directory.
Add Scale Bar tool
Shortcut for the <Analyse> <Tools> <Scale Bar> command.
Freehand Crop tool
Freehand crop tool with options to rotate and flip.
Enhanced Gallery Tool
Creates a panelled image of the separate channels and an
overlay. Options available to display the individual images as
either grayscale or false colour, change the format of the output
and to add text to the final images (figure numbers, titles and
scale bar).
Copy overlay to Gallery
tool
Copies ROI objects to Gallery panels created above.
3D Gallery tool
Uses the montage command to create a panelled 3D image of
the separate channels and an overlay – ideal for movies. Options
available to display the individual images as either grayscale or
false colour, add a scale bar to the overlay and in the montage
options to change the format of the output.
Ortho-slice Extractor
tool
Uses the orthoslice command to create a single “best”
orthogonal view of a z-stack. Options available to add a scale bar
on the X-Y image.
Multi Slice tool
Extracts multiple Ortho-slices of any angle from a list of roi’s.
Option includes selecting thickness of line and projection of the
line.
Add Graphics to Movie
tool
Add arrows, text, etc to a RGB movie. Options to select frames
for each graphic.
Insert Image into Movie
Inserts an inset image into a movie. Useful for 3D rotation
movies.
Select, copy and
propagate one image or
stack in a series
User can select a single image in one channel and either delete
the rest of the images in that channel or propagate the selected
image over the z-stack (good for selecting the best focussed
brightfield image in a z-stack). Also can be used for copying a
stack in a time series.
Simple Shade Correction Uses Gaussian blur to create a background image which is then

Nuclear and
Cytoplasmic Intensity
measurement tool
Works on a multichannel image of which one channel is a
nuclear marker (eg Dapi). It uses this channel to create ROI’s by
threshold which are then used to measure intensities of nuclear
signal in other channels also by threshold. These ROI’s are then
subtracted from the image so that the cytoplasmic components
of the other channels can be thresholded and measured.
Lambda Scan plot
Creates an intensity plot of an ROI of a Lambda Scan.
It will read the meta data from a Zeiss or Leica Image or you can
add your own settings

Update these Macros
This updates to the latest macro versions. Need to be a FILM
user and also on the College Network (Mac users have to
connect to the FILM Documentation server).
Series Macro
