• Randy Claark announced that
t the PPC leeague will run on the second Sunday of eveery month at 2P
PM.
• Ronny Broown will be sug
ggesting some future “fun” matches
m
to be held
h at various times
t
this yearr. Details to folllow.
• Steve Roe announced thaat the regular IH
HMSA Smallbbore Silhouette matches held on each first Saturday
S
will thhis year includee
.22 RF rifles with iron sig
ghts or scopes,, both shot stannding. All are innvited to attend this coming Saturday.
• Steve also mentioned thaat there have beeen recent inciddences of peopple shooting at the steel animaals with high powered
p
rifles,
causing craatering of the steel.
s
This is aggainst club rulees, and if caughht, the offendinng member willl be removed from
f
the club.
• Duane Sipe asked permisssion to allow his
h Scout troopp to use variouss ranges occasiionally on Monndays throughoout the season.
Since the membership
m
views young shoooters in generaal as the futuree of the sport, thhis was approvved.
• The windoows on the skeeet range housess were found open, with the target
t
throwerss left cocked annd loaded. Thiss is not only
dangerous,, but is also bad
d for the springgs that power the
t throwers. Disarm
D
all throw
wers and close the windows after
a
use.
• Tim Drum
m reported that full
f auto fire toook place on thhe range duringg the last CC cllass, and a pile of bottle neckk cases was
found in thhe area. Anyon
ne shooting fulll-auto weaponss on the range will
w be expelleed from the clubb, regardless of
o their class-3
license stattus. There havee also been an excessive num
mber of B27 tarrgets taken from
m the clubhousse. These targeets are for locall
use only, and
a should not be hoarded by members or reemoved from the
t range in advvance of use byy members.
• Randy Claark will have a friend check our camera systtem and then make
m
suggestionns on how to im
mprove the moonitoring of thee
gate and grrounds. All meembers are rem
minded that it iss against club rules
r
to loan a key
k to a non-m
member.
• A motion was
w passed statting that hencee-forth, the wallk-through requuirement for obbtaining a key to the range shhould take
place beforre a new memb
ber is voted onn. A great deal of
o discussion followed
f
on thee subject of byllaw changes reegarding
membershiip requirementts, and whetherr or not such a change neededd to be specificcally mentionedd in the bylawss. There was noo
argument against
a
the new
w walk-throughh rule, rather itt was not clear whether or nott such a rule was
w in disagreem
ment with the
bylaws. In order to settle the matter, an addition to Arrticle III (Mem
mbership) will be
b voted on at the
t next meetinng. This
w conceptually state that “otther” membership requiremennts as voted onn by the membeership from tim
me to time will
addition will
be acceptabble. In addition
n, Article IX will
w be modifiedd so that electroonic mail, webbsite posting annd club-house posting
p
will
serve as the notification process
p
for byllaw changes (innstead of postaal notification) at least 10 dayys prior to votinng on changes..
