Basic Hockey
This program is offered within our Learn to Skate
Program to develop the fundamental skills needed for
Basic Hockey. This will include starts, stops, forward and
backward skating, turns and transitions. (No pucks) This
is a requirement for advancing to Learn to Play Hockey.
An evaluation by our Hockey Director and his staff will
determine the ability of skaters to move into the Learn to
Play Program. As a General rule, skaters are eligible to move
to the Learn to Play Program once they have mastered the
fundamental skills of Basic Hockey 1 and 2. It is highly
recommended that players who do move on, continue
to develop their skills in Basic Hockey 3 and 4.
Intro to Synchronized Skating
Saturdays and Sundays 1 Only
The fundamentals of synchronized skating 1, 2, 3, and 4
will now be offered as part of our Learn to Skate Program.
Synchronized Skating is the fastest growing aspect of skating today! This program is designed for skaters that enjoy
a team environment. Skaters will have fun while learning
the value of teamwork, discipline and gaining confidence.
Skaters will be introduced to the five basic elements: circle,
line, block, intersection and wheel.
Skaters that complete the fundamentals of Synchronized
Skating 1 and 2 will be eligible to become a part of the
ICEWORKERS, IceWorks Synchronized Skating Team.
