Cut all fabrics as stated. WOF = Width of Fabric Trim off all salvages. 2. 1/4” seams are allowed. 3. Press all seams. Building the Apron & Pot Holders Cutting Instructions 1. From the Daisies on Green Print, Cut: Two Apron shapes as stated on pattern. Two 10 1/2” Squares Two 11 1/2” Squares 2. From the Medium Floral on Green Print, Cut: One 6” X WOF Strip 3. From the Large Floral on Green Print, Cut: One 6” X WOF Strip Three 2 1/2” X WOF Strip (Two of these Strips are Binding Strips. From the remaining strip, Cut Two 2 1/2” X 6” Rectangles To make the potholder loops.) 4. From the White Dot on Green Print, Cut: One 6” X WOF Strip Two 3” X WOF Strips 5. Cut all appliques and Yo Yo shapes as stated. Sew Sassy Kitchen Collection© A Pearl Louise Design Building the Apron & Pot Holders 1. 2. 3. 4. 5. Trace, fuse and cut the appliqués as stated. Place and press each appliqué in place on the Apron and Pot Holder tops. Sew a decorative stitch around each appliqué. Hem the sides, top and bottom of each 6” X WOF Ruffle Strips. Sew two gathering stitch lines 1/2” below the top hem on each ruffle. Pull the gathering threads to gather each ruffle to fit across the bottom of the apron. (Note: You can also use a ruffler foot to gather each ruffle. 6. Pin the bottom ruffle 1/2” inside each side of the apron and 1” above the bottom of the apron. Stitch the ruffle in place. 7. Pin the second ruffle in place 3” above the bottom of the first ruffle. Sew in place. 8. Pin the top ruffle in place 3” above the bottom of the second ruffle. Sew in place. 9. Fold the 3” X WOF Dot on Green Print Strips and the 3” X WOF Large Floral On Green Print Strips, right sides together lengthwise. Sew together. Turn right side out. 10. Cut the large Floral on Green Print Strip in half to make the neck apron top ties. Fold the ends of each tie inside 1/4” and sew across. 11. Pin the ties at the waist and the apron top as desired. 12. Place the apron front and lining right sides together. Pin together. Sew together. 13. Clip the sewn seam every 1/4”. Turn right side out. 14. Fold the lining hem and the bottom hem inside. Hand stitch in place. 15. To make the Yo Yo Embellishments: Fold the outer edge of each yo yo circle to the wrong side about 1/8” Thread a needle and tie a knot at the thread ends. Stitch large gathering stitches around the yo yo. Pull the gathering threads tight. Tie off and clip the threads short. 16. Layer the yo yo’s and stitch one set to the toe on each high heel and onto each strap on the apron top. Pot Holders 1. Cut two Insulated Lining 11 1/2” Square. Cut two Cotton Battings 11 1/2” Square 2. Layer the Pot Holder Top fabric on top of the batting, and the wrong side of the backing fabric. Quilt as desired. 2. Use the 2 1/2” X WOF Large Floral on Green Strips to bind the pot holders as desired. 3. Fold the 2 1/2” X 6” Large Floral on Green Print Rectangles to the center, press, fold again and press. Fold again and sew together to make the pot holder loops. 4. Sew the loop to the corner of the potholder for hanging. 5. Sew a small, medium and large yo yo together to make the high heel embellishment.
