ACIDIC solutions have a pH less than 7 and ALKALINE solutions a pH greater than 7. Toilet cleaning products are usually ACIDIC, as they are required to dissolve limescale. Hard surface Cleaners are usually ALKALINE. Washing up liquids are usual neutral. In general, cleaning products which are described as NEUTRAL are less likely to require a hazardous classification. A. Limescale build-up in toilets is reduced through regular cleaning using a bristle brush and general toilet cleaner and descaler, paying particular attention to cleaning under the rim of the toilet. Once limescale has built up to an excessive amount it can be very difficult to remove, however if you use a specially designed cleaning product like Lifeguard Limescale Remover or Evans E-Phos as per the instructions, this should remove the problem. www.cjsportsmouthltd.co.uk • [email protected] • 023 9243 4505 www.cjsenvironmentalltd.co.uk • [email protected] • 023 9243 4514
