F R O M O U R PA S TO R
1. CONGRATULATIONS to SANDY SUITER who has been named Archdiocese of Omaha Catholic School
Administrator of the Year for Omaha. Our motto has been “Becoming Leaders of All to Christ.” Each year we
have worked hard to provide an excellent education in all academic areas and to continue to strive for excellence. Our
goal is to have each student experience self-worth and the unique personal love of Jesus for them. We strive to motivate
our students to use their unique gifts while respecting the gifts of their fellow-students. The success of our students in
High School is a testimony to the fine education they receive at St. Robert’s.
We are very proud and grateful to have excellent teachers who love their teaching vocation and seek to give their best to
our students. Every member of our faculty first and foremost lives their faith and is motivated by the truth that Jesus is the
head of our school family and is the center of our life. Our School boasts gratitude for our Catholic Faith and the privilege
we have of living our faith day to day.
We have been blessed to have Sandy as our St. Robert Bellarmine School Principal for the past 12 years. Sandy and her
husband Jim are parents of 4 children Sarah, a nurse at Children’s Hospital, Becca, a student at UNO and completing a
Special Education Degree, Jimmy, a student at UNO and Amanda, a Senior at Skutt High School. . Sandy and Jim and
their children are members of St. Robert’s Parish Family. Sandy’s daughter Becca shares her gifts as a special education
teacher in our Religious Education Program.
Congratulations Sandy! This is a very distinguished honor and well deserved. May the Lord continue to bless you and
your family. May you continue to inspire our teachers to love our students, to love their vocation as teachers, and to glorify
our Lord by living your vocation so beautifully. Our parish family and our school family congratulate you and thank God for
you! We are so proud of you!
2. CONGRATULATIONS TO JUDY ERDEI, St. Robert Bellarmine Parish 2012 “WOMAN OF YEAR.” This past Thursday
Judy received the “Woman of the Year Award” from Archbishop George Lucas at the annual Archdiocesan Council of
Catholic Women Luncheon.
Judy has a remarkable record of sharing her gifts with others and promoting the good of our parish and programs of the
Archdiocese. Judy serves on our New Member Welcome Committee, is an active member of Guild Circle #3, “Been There
Done That,” regularly helps with funeral dinners, assisted with the Guild Morning Lenten Day of Reflection, is a member of
Catholic Daughters, a Perpetual Adorer, organized and promoted monthly Book Club Meetings, organized Knights of Columbus Pilgrimages for the last ten years which has been a wonderful fund-raiser for the works of our Knights. Judy has
especially distinguished herself promoting the sanctity of life as an active member of Essential Pregnancy Services. The
past two years she has served on the Board of Directors and received the “Spirit of EPS Award” in 2010.
Judy has remarkable enthusiasm and joy-filled personality and has made her a wonderful instrument of God’s love and
special gift to St. Robert’s. Congratulations Judy! We are both proud of you and grateful to you. God bless you and
George and all the members of your family!
3. GLUTEN FREE HOSTS: Several people have asked us if they could receive Holy Communion with Gluten-Free hosts.
Doctors had advised them that they should not receive regular Communion hosts at Mass. We are happy to provide gluten-free hosts ( .005% wheat) approved by the Church. We would ask that those who require Gluten-Free Hosts would
stop by the sacristy before Mass to inform us so we can take provide gluten-free hosts for you. Please use the main aisle
when receiving Holy Communion and point to the server holding the cup containing the gluten-free hosts.
God Bless You!
