Seize the opportunity!
By Peter, Kenyan Executive Director / House Parent aka “Dad”
In life, God will always give you opportunities to serve Him. He will give you a gift, tools and
resources to do all kinds of good work. Opportunities will come in three ways; calling, challenge and chaos.
God will bring a chance for you to serve him in all three ways.
CWH-Tobiah Home is not an exception. God has called us here at CWH-Tobiah Home for a common goal - to serve Him and be
co-workers with Him. The children we serve are children without parents or relatives, and so we join hands and become their parents
and spiritual examples to help guide and nurture them to fulfill God’s given purpose. We are blessed when we see chaos, and we
make good out of chaos. We are blessed when we face challenges and come out victorious. We are blessed when we follow our
calling and do what we were created to do.
Unity is strength. When we come together to support these children, we do make a difference. When we pray for them or give our
resources to house, feed, educate, give them a social life, and most importantly a family, we touch the heart of the Father.
We appreciate you when you help us face these challenges, carrying the cross (calling) and all the problems that are in the world,
especially in a third world country. Just commit to a daily, weekly, or monthly prayer to the ministry, children, house parents,
leadership, staff, and the country of Kenya at large. Because it makes a difference - we have the testimonies and breakthroughs!
Commit to support, we have seen the difference in the entire ministry! CWH-Tobiah Home has a nice home, farm land, and many
other blessings.
We are now putting our heads together for expansion and education - so won’t you be part of this blessing? It is my prayer that as
you do this, God will show his favor to your entire generation. Enjoy the 25 blessings enclosed in this Special Edition! Blessings!
Meet the faces of the 25 Children YOUR
support and prayers help each day!
Adriel
Age 2
Issue 33 - July, 2015
Elias
The terrible twos seem not to apply
to Adriel! Our two year old is sweet as
can be. She gets along great with her
older brothers and sisters and likes to
dote on her baby sisters. Adriel can be
a ham - she laughs and laughs all day
long. She is learning her numbers and
letters in school and can count all the
way to twenty. At night time Adriel gives
out the best hugs.
Age 4
Elias with his mile wide smile and
expressive eyes, make this 4 year old
fun to be around. Elias and his buddy
Enock, like to search the yard for cool
bugs to stare at and try to gross out
the other kids. Elias also does not
hesitate to jump in on a wrestling match
with his dad, and older brothers. He
will launch himself onto the pile and
hang on for dear life.

Augustus Narea
Age 5
Augustus is a wild child in the best of
ways. He is ornery, funny and always
bouncing off the wall. At 5 he is a
wrestling maniac! You can always find
him on the floor giggling as he and his
brother Jacob are duking it out. Although
rare, he does have a soft side that will
come out every now and again. He is
very sweet and gentle with his baby
sisters and is always trying his best to
help out around the house.
Alice
Age 11
Age 5
Narea, is a sweet, caring 5 year old.
She is always looking after everyone
especially her brother, Vincent. She loves
to be the center of attention and has a
great laugh and a heart-warming smile.
She loves to be held and to sing her
favorite song, “Jesus Loves Me”. Since
coming to Tobiah Home, Narea has really
perked up as she has learned to become
fast friends with her sisters.
Age 5
This rambunctious 5 year old loves
to climb trees and kick the soccer
ball around but his favorite toys are
matchbox cars and trucks. When he’s
not pretending to be a truck driver, Jacob
is probably rolling around on the ground
wrestling with his brothers. Jacob also
loves going on trips to Jua Kali to check
out the farm.

Kelvin
Age 3
Age 3
With curious big brown eyes, Vincent
explores all around the yard looking
for bugs and snails to study. Vincent,
3, can’t wait to run outside and start
playing in the sandbox, or going down
the slide for countless hours. Vincent
loves to be held; he will climb onto your
lap and stay for the whole evening.
Vincent and Narea are blood siblings.
Kelvin is a happy go lucky kid who loves
life. He flashes his movie star smile
constantly throughout the day. Kelvin has
worked very hard to improve his English
and loves learning new things. When
he’s not in school, Kelvin tends to be
outside playing on the swing set, kicking
the soccer ball or looking for bugs. When
it’s time to wrestle with Dad, Kelvin dives
head first into the action.
Celline
Alice is like our “mother hen” and is very
helpful with the children. She had an
instant love for all the kids. She takes
her role of being the big sister very
seriously and is very protective of her
younger sisters Priscilla and Celline. She
is always ready to roll up her sleeves
and dive in to help with the cooking and
cleaning. Going to school and playing
soccer are her two favorite things to do.
Sophia
Jacob
Vincent
Age 2
Sophia is thriving here at Tobiah Home.
She is a caring girl who likes to lend a
hand in taking care of her baby sisters.
She is an expert at making mud pies and
enjoys playing in the sandbox. Sophia
likes looking at pictures of farm animals
in books and is really great at saying her
ABCs and counting.
Age 6
Norah
Age 3
Norah is a sweet little 3 year old, who
teases her siblings nonstop. Since
coming to Tobiah Home with her twin
brother, Nim, she has settled into her
new life very well. Norah adores her big
sisters and she and Sophia have become
best friends. Norah is blind in one eye
but she does not let that bring her down.
She is always laughing and smiling and
playing house and having tea parties with
her sisters.
Our spunky Celline turned 6 this past
January. She can’t stop doting on her
baby sisters. She holds them, sings to
them and helps feed them. Celline is
very athletic. She loves to play soccer
and run. We will have races between
the kids and she never loses. She is the
fastest kid here at Tobiah Home. She is
extremely bright and does very well in
school; was at the top of the class this
past semester.
Nim
Age 3
Nim, also known as “Mr. Nim!” is the twin
of Norah. This 3 year old bundle of joy
has a very fun loving personality. In his
short life he has become a master of
the slide and the tire swing. Nim and
his buddies Jared, Vincent, and Joshua,
never stop wrestling, teasing and chasing
each other. Nim has a never ending
supply of energy, a fantastic smile, and
an amazing laugh.
CWH - Tobiah Home
Caren
Age 5
Caren is a fun loving girl who enjoys
playing “house”, having her picture taken
and playing with her favorite doll. Caren
absolutely adores her brothers and
sisters and does a great job of helping to
take care of them. Caren is always eager
to learn new things and does very well in
school. Her English has really improved
over the last several months.
Jared
Age 3
Jared is probably the funniest kid you
can find at Tobiah Home. He is very
expressive, talks with his hands and likes
to make people laugh. Jared is always
plotting how and who to tease and joke
with. He is already insanely athletic, he
is super fast; almost none of the other
kids run as fast as he does and he loves
to play football and soccer and wrestle.
In school Jared likes to sing and look at
pictures in books.
Priscilla
Age 6
Darius
Age 2
Darius is 2 years old but he fits in great
with his older brothers. Most of the
time he is pretty quiet and reserved, but
he laughs and smiles a lot, and he likes
to play with his brothers and sisters.
Whether he is outside running or going
down the slide or inside reading books
or watching Veggie Tales, Darius is pretty
content with his life at Tobiah Home.

Asa
Joshua
Age 5
Asa is a very sweet natured 5 year old
boy. He can be quite funny, and playful
but typically he is more reserved and
quiet. He is a quick learner and does
very well in school. Asa has taken on
the role of the big brother and does a
great job watching over his siblings. He
is always looking for a big adventure
and looks forward to being outside and
exploring.
Age 3
Joshua has an infectious giggle and is
very ticklish. Joshua likes to pal around
with Jared and Darius. Together they try
to see how many times they can go down
the slide before being called in for lunch.
Joshua really likes to play games, have
books read to him and color. He is very
sneaky about figuring out ways to crawl
onto your lap to be held. And once he
gets there he will stay there for hours if
you let him.
Joseph
Priscilla is Celline’s twin sister and Alice
is their big sister. Priscilla is a jokester.
She is always trying to play tricks on her
brothers and sisters. Always laughing
and smiling, Priscilla enjoys playing
outside on the swing set and running and
jumping and kicking the soccer ball. She
loves to be held and is highly ticklish.
Priscilla is practically inseparable from
her sisters Celline, Caren, and Narea.
Rachel
Rachel
Age 3
Rachel’s Meningitis has caused her to
have severe side effects which she still
has today. Rachel, now 3, has grown
very long. She has physical therapy
three times a week with Westley, who
faithfully works with her each session,
stretching and massaging her arms,
legs, and back. She loves to watch her
brothers and sisters play outside and
she always perks up when she hears
music.
Age 3
Abigale
Age 1
Abigale, whom we call “Abby”, is one of
our newest additions to Tobiah Home.
She is 1 and loves to be outside sitting
in the sun and watching her siblings play.
Due to her life before Tobiah Home, she
is learning and growing a little slower
than most. Finally she is learning to sit
up on her own and is about ready to
start to crawl.
Joseph, or whom we call “Lil Joe”, has
really grown fast over the last couple of
years. Joseph is a quiet 3 year old, who
loves to get dirty playing in the sandbox,
making sand castles, and digging holes.
He has a contagious laugh and enjoys
being held and read to. He also loves
playing with toy cars and trucks. He
can’t get enough sleep as he is almost
always one of the last kids to wake up
from his nap.
Talitha
Age 1
Talitha, whom we call “Tabbi”, is a healthy
1 year old who loves to chow down.
Always smiling and laughing, she likes
playing outside and being held by all her
siblings. She is probably not too far away
from mastering the art form of walking.

you become
a sponsor...
The cost for child sponsorship,
which includes feeding, clothing,
and medical expense is $150
per month per child.
Enock can really break it down on the
dance floor. He will bust out his moves
as soon as he hears the music playing.
Enock, Darius and Elias are great
buddies. They are often found playing
in the sandbox, looking for slimy snails,
or riding trikes. Enock is very sweet
natured and is quiet and observant. He
has a fantastic laugh and a warm smile.
It is not necessary to commit to
the full $150 per month to help
sponsor Ann or Enock. Amounts
of $25, $50, or $75 per month
would be a significant blessing.
