Empowering solar efficiency tco coating AO10 TCO COATED GLASS FOR THIN FILM APPLICATION (a-Si) AO10 is a clear float glass, coated with Transparent Conductive Oxide (TCO). The right balance between transmission, haze and conductibility of the TCO coating enables for improving the thin film cell efficiency. Indeed, when rightly deposited, the TCO has the potential • to lower the reflection at the interface with the absorber; • to increase the path of light into the absorber; • to trap the light into the absorber. Combined with the excellent durability of glass, AO10 is the product of choice for thin film photovoltaic modules (amorphous silicon). AO10 conforms to EN572 and is fully temperable. anti-reflection PRODUCT DESCRIPTION Type Coating Barrier layer Conductive coating Deposition Applications TCO coated clear float glass SiO2 based SnO2:F based CVD Front glass for thin film photovoltaic modules (amorphous silicon) Sun light AO10 Transmission curve TCO confinement scattering Thin film silicon Back electrode Transmission (%) TCO coating 90 88 86 84 82 80 78 76 74 300 400 500 600 700 800 900 Wavelength (nm) 1000 1100 AGC Solar has a long history as a key player in the solar glass business.
