Attach the Superman poster to the wall and put tape on the back of each of the laminated insignias. Use the blindfold, and have each child spin a couple of times before trying to pin the “S” on Superman. For extra fun, make copies of the black and white insignia, and have each child decorate an “S” before playing. Pass the Kryptonite This is the Superman version of "Hot Potato.” Instead of a potato, pass around some kryptonite! Have everyone form a circle. Use one of the green water snakes as the kryptonite. When the music (Superman theme song) starts, pass the kryptonite around the circle. Pause the music occasionally. When the music stops, the one holding the kryptonite is out. Keep playing until there is only one person left. (NOTE: To be fair, the person pausing the music should not be watching the game.) Kryptonite Relay Races Divide the group into two teams and have each team form a line. Set a bowl/box full of green bouncy balls (kryptonite) at the head of each line. The first player on each team must to pick up a piece of kryptonite while wearing oven mitts, and carry it across the room to drop it into another bowl/box. The player then returns to the line and passes the oven mitts to the next player. Keep going down the line until every player has had a turn. The first team to get through every player is the winner. Super Breath This game focuses on Superman’s ability to breathe out a powerful stream of air. The object of this game is to blow a light object across the room and back. Split the players into two teams (red and blue.) Have each team form a line and give each player his or her own straw. Give the first player on each team a piece of crumbled tissue paper (red or blue.) Mark a line with masking tape some distance away (not too far!) Each player must blow a crumpled up piece of tissue paper across the line and then turn around and come back to pass the tissue paper off to the next player. The first team to get through every player is the winner. Superman Trivia There are two versions of the Superman trivia quiz, one for younger kids and one for older kids and adults.
