What is my room assignment? When will I receive it?
Room assignments are finalized by UH College Suites management during the following times:
9-Month – Academic Term – July
3-Month – Summer Term – April
12-Month – Mid-May to Mid-May ONLY – April
A final confirmation of residency will be emailed to during the following times:
9-Month – Academic Term – First full week of August
3-Month – Summer Term - First full week of May
12-Month – Mid-May to Mid-May ONLY – First full week of May
This confirmation email includes information regarding which apartment and bedroom you will be
living in, your UH College Suites’ address and the name of your roommates.
Can I contact my roommate before we move in?
If you have one or more roommates, those names and email addresses will appear on your final
confirmation email. Feel free to contact your roommate(s) before you arrive. It is our policy to not
share telephone numbers or permanent addresses.
What size is the bedroom?
Approximately 8. 5 feet x 12 feet with 5 electrical outlets
Window measure approximately 39” wide x 52“ long
What is provided in the bedroom?
Each room comes equipped with a standard twin mattress with a boxed bed frame, desk with 3
drawers and keyboard tray, desk chair, 6-drawer dresser, wardrobe/closet, window blinds, Ethernet
hookup, cable television hookup with HBO. Cords for the Ethernet and Cable hookups are NOT
included.
What will I need to bring to complete my bedroom?
You will need an Ethernet Cat 5 cable if you are not using the wireless network, coaxial cable for
cable tv, small television, computer; all bedding needs, pillows, alarm clock, floor lamp or desk
lamp, flashlight, surge protector, etc.
How can I change my apartment and/or bedroom assignment?
All requests should be emailed to [email protected]. Once your written request is received
regarding changing rooms you will be placed on a waiting list. If a room in your requested
apartment/suite/room opens up, you will then be placed if all other roommates approve.
How can I request a double bedroom apartment?
All requests should be emailed to [email protected] indicating that you would like to be
placed on the two bedroom wait list. If a two bedroom apartment should become available and
you're next on the list, you will then be contacted.
Please note that it's important NOT to switch bedrooms with roommates as you will be held
responsible for the room originally assigned. Officially make the change through the management
office.
The common area of the apartments/suites in the A-Building: Main Building is furnished with a
sofa, sofa chair, end table, TV stand, wall-mounted TV, table w/ two chairs.
The common area of the apartments/suites in the B-Building: New Addition is furnished with a
sectional sofa, end table, wall-mounted TV, dining peninsula with stools

All units have a standard refrigerator, stove, oven, microwave, and a garbage disposal in the
kitchen area. You will need your own supply of food, garbage can, garbage bags, and
eating/drinking utensils.
Each 4-bedroom apartments/suites has two bathrooms on each side of the apartment and is
shared by two roommates on adjoining side. Each 2-bedroom apartment has one bathroom in the
apartment and is shared by two roommates. You must provide your own toiletries. 1 ply toilet
paper is suggested as the toilets in use are code enforced water conservers and cleaning supplies.
The apartments are individually zoned with air conditioning and forced hot air heating.
It is important to respect your common and shared areas just as you would hope that your
roommates will. Be clean. Be responsible.
