God Moments...
Sometimes a simple event will help you put
things into perspective. I
was walking down a sidewalk in downtown Anderson one day. I looked down
and there was a purple petunia flower growing up
between the crack in the
sidewalk, and a cement
ledge.
As I stood there, I
knew this little flower was
from God. This brief encounter with nature; this
moment of simple beauty;
this displaced flower of
existence.…somehow
I
knew…
My first thought
was…how did this flower
get there, and how does
this flower grow without
dirt? No matter how this
little flower got there, it
was growing, thriving in its
environment.

And the same

for love.

white ducks meandering
across my back yard.
Again out of place. On a
major highway you don’t
see animals wandering…if
they do, they don’t live
very long. These creatures
were happy; being ducks
and chickens, ducks waddling, heads down searching for bugs. The rooster
protecting his hens, and the
hens strolling in their prom
feathers. To me, it was a
gift because I love the
memories of chickens from
the farm. And, when I was
three years old, I had two,
large white ducks that
mom would let me bring
into the house and rock in
my little red rocking chair..
As the week ended, I realized God had given me a new perspective…
that love can grow in the
smallest of places, love is
always waiting for a
“second chance,” and love
from a Heavenly Father
reminding me to be a
“child” again.

Thursday Luncheon
Love can grow in the smallest of places...
As we welcome the month of
September, let us ponder on the possibilities; wander in the world of nature,
and saunter down the sunny path of
life.
“Was it overlooked by me
and other passerbys?
Then the answer came quite quickly
As I lingered near this plant.
Life and love will not grow
A petunia caught my attention one day
Yes, I found a flower growing
And now I know the message true.
Life is lived to the fullest
And trusting is the clue.
When we simply say, “I can’t”.
‘til we meet again, Deborah
As I walked down the road.
It lived in a sidewalk crack
For the message of this flower
An impossible place to grow.
Shows us even in the smallest space,
I stopped with questions wondering
Love can grow in hopeless situations
How did it get there and why?
When God showers His mercy & grace.

This would be a good place to insert a short paragraph
about your organization. It might include the purpose
of the organization, its mission, founding date, and a
brief history. You could also include a brief list of the
types of products, services, or programs your organization offers, the geographic area covered (for example, western U.S. or European markets), and a profile
of the types of customers or members served.
It would also be useful to include a contact name for
readers who want more information about the organization.
