Welcome to the 10th Annual
Volunteer Impact Awards Gala!
Tonight is the tenth year of the Volunteer Impact Awards gala and
another great night to honour the contributions of 10 individuals
and two groups of volunteers from the Waterloo Region.
Over the past decade, Waterloo Region community members have
nominated hundreds of individuals, businesses and organizations to
celebrate the impact of their volunteer efforts - over 85 of these
nominees have received awards and our gratitude. Every year, we
stand in awe in what so many give freely to our Region.
A panel of community members face the difficult task of choosing
the recipients of these Volunteer Impact Awards. We would like to
thank all those who took the time to nominate these outstanding
individuals, businesses and organizations.
Volunteer Action Centre Supporters
All the nominees, past and present, and
the countless individuals and groups in
our community embody the true spirit of
volunteerism: they commit their time and
talents as a social responsibility for the
benefit of other people in the community
rather than for any financial reward.
I would like to express our heartfelt
appreciation to our generous sponsors
and contributors this evening. Please
enjoy this night of celebration!
