The SU N Y Plattsburgh Branch Cam pus is
located in the J. Buckley Bryan,Jr.,Regional
H igher Education Center on the cam pus of
the A dirondack Com m unity College (A CC)
in Q ueensbury,betw een Saratoga Springs
and Lake George. A bundant in natural
resources,the area is surrounded by ski

Graduate classes are generally offered
once a w eek for 3 hours in the late
afternoon or early evening. Classes are
also offered each sum m er in tw o,five-w eek
sum m er sessions and during an intensive
three-w eek w inter session. Sum m er
session classes usually m eet for about four
hours,tw ice a w eek. Som e classes are
available online.

strong teachers w ho w ant to im prove their
teaching skills. Teachers app lying to this
program ordinarily hold certification in
areas such as biology,chem istry,Earth
science,Eng lish,m ath,French,Spanish,
and childhood education.
M .S.for Teachers in C hildhood Education: This 42 credit hour p rogram is for
individ uals w ho w ish to becom e N ew York
State teacher certified and lead s to initial
certification for grades 1-6. Som e applicants m ay have to com p lete ad ditional
undergrad uate courses in their content
areas and /or underg raduate lib eralarts
courses p rior to m atriculation.
