We will work with Agua Vida A/D (Living Water Assembly of God) located in a village along the Paztasa River, to expand their facilities so that the church may more effectively reach these people groups that lie upriver within their reach. Our opportunities may also include ministry to adults, youth, and children, as well as humanitarian assistance. This trip will involve extensive travel (big planes, small planes, boats, trains, and buses) and modest accommodations. For the free day, we will visit Machu Picchu, a 15th century Inca citadel situated on a mountain, which was voted one of the “New Seven Wonders of the World”. Health & Safety: We will follow the missionary’s and AGWM’s guidelines to ensure our safety. There are no required travel vaccinations, but team members should be current on all routine immunizations and should consider CDC recommendations (http://wwwnc.cdc.gov/travel/destinations/traveler/mission_disaster/peru) for vaccinations and meds that could be helpful in Peru.
