Meet Frank & Donna
Donna needed help finding an
Approved Provider for her dad Frank.
He had just received approval for a
Level 2 Home Care Package.
When Donna got in touch with one of our Care Advisors it was clear
that she was a busy person. She was working, caring for her children
as well helping her dad at home when she could. She was relieved
that her dad had finally received a Home Care Package. The quicker
she found a Provider for her dad the better for everyone!
Donna started her search for a Provider with the government site directory but ended up more confused than
ever. She was overwhelmed with the choice and no closer to finding a Provider. She then found a few Providers
via a Google search however couldn’t figure out which one was good or bad plus their different fees confused
her. Donna knew that funds were limited and it would be wise to make the Package stretch as far as it could go.
This all made it very hard to work it out which Provider to choose for her dad. She then turned to iCompare Aged

explained the different fee structures that Providers use. After a further discussion about Frank’s requirements
it became clear which Provider would suit him best and would maximise the amount of care he could get from
his package. Donna was connected with her recommended Provider and they took it from there.
Frank started receiving care two weeks later. We followed up with Donna to see how it was going. She said that
her dad was really pleased with his Carer and it was hard to imagine how they all managed before! Our Care
Advisor noticed she seemed much more relaxed than the first call and asked her how she was doing. Donna
responded that she felt her life had improved like her dad! She now has peace of mind knowing that he being
supported properly.
