Dear Parents and Guardians:
Attached are the summer curriculum review materials for 6th grade math. This
booklet was prepared by the False River Academy Math Department and

materials must be completed and brought to class during the first full week of
school in August 2014.
Your child is required to complete this booklet over the summer. A test based on
the material in the packet will be given to your child during the third week of
school. It will count as a test in the first nine weeks period and the grade will be
determined as follows:


Completion of the packet on time will count as 20% of the grade.
Performance on the test will count as 80% of the grade.
Students will not be permitted to use calculators on this test therefore this packet
should be completed without the use of a calculator.
If your child’s score falls below 80%, he or she will be placed on a mathematics
intervention plan during school until the necessary skills have been mastered.
Thank you for your cooperation.
