Emma’s Holiday In Worcester
I was really looking forward to my holiday with mum and dad.
On the morning of my holiday my mum and dad came to collect me in the car. My
dad eventually found the place where we were staying, after getting a bit lost!
Once we were settled into our accommodation at the Travel Lodge we went
shopping for croissants and a look around Worcester. We had a look around the
cathedral, and I loved the stained glass windows. Then we went around a
museum . We went down to the lake then me and Mum and dad went shopping.
Me and Mum got something for my best friend Amy for her 1st baby girl Amelia
Rose. The food was lovely on the nights we went out. Also the weather was lovely
Then we went home on the Sunday.

The Glenmore Trust Blackpool
Holiday 2014.
We’re back from the first ever
Glenmore Trust Holiday, what a great
time we all had…. lovely weather, nice
food, great entertainment, lots of dancing and shopping and not forgetting
the illuminations. Look out for photos
and stories from our trip in next
month’s newsletter
I went on the Yorkshire Dales Tour with
Reays, the coach was
amazing
I met Tracy, Tony
and Nina from
Penrith and from
Carlisle I met
Jane. I would like
to say a big
HELLO to them
all
The best bit was
having lunch in
the Wool pack. It
was a dream
come true.
The Glenmore Trust Lunch Club
My name is Rachael Monk, and I have been
attending the Glenmore Trust Lunch Club at
The Turf for a few months now. I really enjoy
it, and have made lots of new friends. I was
made to feel very welcome from the start. It is
interesting to talk to such a wide range of
people, of all ages, and from different backgrounds. We always have plenty to chat
about, and plenty of jokes to tell!
I like the fact that it is open to anybody, several of my friends have met
us there, and have even brought their children along, which is lovely.
My mam and nanna often join us; they have also made lots of friends
there. I particularly enjoy the chicken!!
I am Malcolm Eardley; I started to go to the Lunch Club at around the
same time as Rachael. I have enjoyed getting to know new people, and
always feel welcome. My favourite Lunch Club so far was on 28th
August, when I got the shock of my life! My friends there had brought
me a cake and a present for my birthday the following day. It was a
lovely surprise. Lunch Club is always good fun, and I get a lot out of it.
My favourite meal is the lasagne!
We both like the fact that the Lunch Club always makes a fuss of people
on, or near, their birthdays, as some may lead quite isolated lives, and
maybe wouldn’t get that otherwise. We also like that it is on every
Thursday from 12-2pm. People can drop in or leave whenever is
convenient to them, they do not have to stay for the whole two hours.
Coffee and Catch up at Café Zest is back this month
and will take place on a monthly basis from now on.
Diane pictured below (one of our volunteers) will be
there to greet everyone. The dates for your diary
are:
Saturday 25th October 2pm-4pm
Saturday 22nd November 2pm-4pm
