FL Moffett: Destiny Arcibar and Wesley Matthews
Destiny Arcibar is in Mrs. Rogers' Kindergarten Class. She really
enjoys anything that has Sponge Bob in it. She chooses her Mom as
her role model because she takes care of her. Destiny wants to grow
up and be a famous cheerleader. In her free time, she enjoys playing
on the iPad, listening to her Dad play the Saxophone, and playing
with her friends. Destiny was chosen as Rider of the Week because
she comes to class everyday eager to learn. She always does her best
from walking in the halls to classroom work, to being an awesome
helper. Destiny is a phenomenal student with a beautiful smile.
Wesley Matthews is in Mrs. Ramsey's Kindergarten Class. He
really enjoys reading Halloween books. Wesley's role model is his
Daddy because he loves him. He hopes to grow up and be a famous
fire fighter who rescues people and puts out fires. For fun, he likes
playing in the dirt, playing football, and playing Disney Infinity on
Xbox. Wesley was chosen as Rider of the Week because he is always
giving hugs and has a great personality. He is friendly and kind to
everyone. He has wonderful manners and works really hard to do
his best.
Center Elementary: Jason Arcibar and Selena Acosta
Jason Arcibar is in Second Grade. His favorite movie is Cars and his favorite
character is ‘Mater.' Jason’s favorite books to read are Sponge Bob books. He likes
the tricks Sponge Bob plays on other characters. Jason says his role model is his
dad because he cares about people and is always helping others. Jason would like to
be a famous movie star. He says he would play the good guy in action films such as,
The Last Stand. Jason was chosen as Rider of the Week because his teacher describes him as a positive student and an asset to her classroom. He has a genuine
desire to help his friends. Jason always does quality work and tries to do more than
asked. These are the qualities that make Jason one of CES’s Super Stars!
Selena Acosta is in Third Grade. Her favorite movie is Brave and her favorite
books are the Junie B. Jones series. She likes Junie B. Jones because she is funny
in her books. Selena’s role model is her grandfather. She said he helps her mom
and family when they need something. Selena wants to help others just like
him. If Selena were to become famous she would want to be a pop singer, just like
her favorite singer, Selena Gomez. Selena was chosen as Rider of the Week because
her teacher describes her as a great student. She listens to directions the first time
and is always ready to learn. Selena sets an awesome example for her classmates. She is a hard worker and treats her classmates with respect and kindness. She is a perfect example of a good citizen and is an absolute joy to have as a
student. Selena is definitely one of CES’s Super Stars!
Center Intermediate: Cecily Gibson and Hunter Rowland
Cecily Gibson is in Fifth Grade. Her favorite movie is Percy Jackson. She
chooses her Aunt Jackie as her role model because she is always there for Cecily
and has a very sweet personality. When she grows up, Cecily wants to become
famous for finding a cure for cancer. In her free time, she enjoys drawing, gymnastics, and playing the piano. Cecily was chosen as Rider of the Week because
she is such a bright light in her classroom. Mrs. Belrose says that Cecily is always wearing a smile on her face, and is very engaged in learning.
Hunter Rowland is in Fifth Grade. His favorite movie is Diary of a Wimpy Kid.
His role model is Channing Tatum because he is a good actor and his mom admires him. Hunter hopes to become a famous actor one day. For fun, he likes to
draw, play video games, play sports, and read. Hunter was chosen as Rider of
the Week because according to Mrs. Belrose, "he is an eager learner and the first
to help in my classroom." Every morning Hunter holds the door open for his
class without being asked to do so. He is very smart and strives to do his best in
and out of class.
Center Middle School: Jonnica Gonzalez and Edwin Morin
CMS is proud to recognize seventh graders, Edwin Morin and Jonnica Gonzalez as this week’s Riders of the Week. Jonnica is a very focused young lady with future plans including being in the medical field and being able to visit Spain. She says her brother is her role model because he’s the first
person in her family to go to college. She is proud of having good grades in school and enjoys math
class most. Jonnica stays busy with soccer, volleyball, Beta, texting and Facebook. Jonnica was
nominated by her ELA teacher, Ms. Murphy, who says Jonnica has a wonderful attitude, is a great team player, always on task and does more than
is expected. She is the kind of young lady who does the right thing and is
an excellent role model for others to follow.
Edwin Morin is very active in sports, playing footballl, basketball, track
and soccer. He is also a member of the Roughrider Band. He is proud of
his family and says his role model is his mom because she does what’s
right for her family and is a hard worker. Edwin has plans to attend SFA
after high school and hopes one day to be able to see Hawaii. Edwin was
nominated by Health teacher, Mrs. Rice, who says he is an exceptional
student and makes the classroom a better place by his example to others. He is a hard worker and
always on task. Congratulations to our Riders of the Week. CMS is proud to have Edwin and Jonnica
represent our campus.
Center High School: Jemarcus Jones and Paola Bazaldua
Paola Bazaldua is a Junior at CHS. Her favorite book is Inque brantable. She chooses her mom as her role model because she
taught Paola to never give up even in the hard times, to always keep her head high and to trust in God. Paola wants to be famous
for helping people in need. After high school, she hopes to attend Stephen F. Austin State University. Paola is an active part of
the award winning Center High School Band. Paola was chosen as Rider of the Week because she is an excellent student with a
great attitude toward teachers and other students. Ms. Butler says that Paola
always puts forth her best effort, and is eager to help others when needed. She
is a fabulous role model for other students and a pleasure to teach.
Jamarcus Jones is a Senior at CHS and his favorite movie is Next Friday.
He chooses Arizona Cardinal Free Safety, Tyrann Mathieu as his role model
because he works hard everyday and is a leader for his team. Jemarcus would
like to be famous one day as a professional basketball or football player. He
plans to attend the University of Dallas after graduating from CHS. He is an
integral part of the Center Roughrider Athletic Program. He plays football,
basketball and runs track. He is also a member of the infamous Art Club. In
his spare time, Jamarcus likes to spend time with his family and friends. Jemarcus was chosen as Rider of the Week because according to Ms. Ann Butler,
he “is an excellent student who always has a positive attitude and a great
smile.” He works extremely hard in his classes and is so talented and creative.
Ms. Butler says that Jemarcus is a pleasure to teach because of his wonderful
personality and work ethic.
