ULM Notes
- After a nine day layoff, the Warhawks will return to the court after defeating
Northwestern State, 80-64 in their last outing. Both Majok Deng and Travis
Munnings recorded double-doubles in the contest. It marked Keith Richard’s 200th
win in his head coaching career
- ULM is one of two teams in the nation to not allow 75 points in a single game
since 2013-14 (along with Baylor). ULM’s streak is at 47 straight games
- The Warhawks are 2-2 all-time against Houston and have won the last two
meetings. The last time they played, ULM came out on top, 82-81 on Dec. 15, 1999
- ULM has outrebounded all three of its opponents this season including
advantages of 43-41 at Minnesota and 48-27 at Northwestern State. The Warhawks
lead the Sun Belt Conference with a +13.7 rebounding margin
- Two out of ULM’s three outings have been wire-to-wire victories where the
Warhawks never trailed in games against McMurry and Northwestern State
versions of our institution’s name, the preferred acronym ULM
and the full name, the University of Louisiana at Monroe. Any
other reference, including Louisiana-Monroe, UL-Monroe, La.Monroe, LAM, or simply Monroe, are incorrect.
- ULM is off to a 2-1 start for the third consecutive year. It will look to begin 3-1 for
the second time under Coach Richard as it last did it in 2013-14
Follow ULM Men’s Basketball on Social Media
- ULM opened the season with an 88-43 victory over McMurry. The 45-point margin
of victory was ULM’s largest in school history in a season opener. The Warhawks
improved to 47-18 all-time in home openers

with 6:44 remaining
- Deng has registered 11 consecutive double-figure scoring games dating back to
last season. This year, he’s averaging 16.3 points, 8.0 rebounds and 2.0 blocks per
game. Deng earned All-Conference Third-Team honors last year and returned as
the team’s leading scorer, rebounder and shot blocker. He’s one of four returning
starters and one of five seniors on the roster

ULM Soars Above NSU 80-64; Richard Wins 200th Career Game
NATCHITOCHES – A wire-to-wire victory resulted in an 80-64 final for the ULM
men’s basketball program over Northwestern State as Keith Richard won his 200th
career game as a head coach on Thursday at Prather Coliseum.
The Warhawks (2-1) dominated the glass as they outrebounded the Demons (0-3)
49-27 in the game. ULM grabbed 23 offensive rebounds compared to NSU’s eight
and held huge advantages of 46-20 in points in the paint and 25-9 in second chance
points.
Senior Majok Deng and freshman Travis Munnings both posted double-doubles in the
game. Deng finished with a team-high of 19 points and 12 rebounds while Munnings
set new career-highs of 14 points and 10 rebounds.
Deng and Munnings were two of five double-figure scorers for the Warhawks. Senior
Jamaal Samuel poured in 15 points and seniors Justin Roberson and DeMondre
Harvey tallied 11 apiece. Harvey also grabbed nine rebounds while Roberson pulled
down seven to go along with his six assists and career-high five steals.
