Water Polo Australia and the State Associations strongly encourage clubs and coaches who have an interest in FlippaBall to become a pilot provider as a means on influencing and contributing to the program review and future model. By assisting in testing concepts and delivering the proposed models and proving feedback you can help shape what the future of FlippaBall will look like. How to become a FlippaBall Pilot provider? If you wish to become an official pilot provider of the FlippaBall program, please contact your State Association office or email [email protected] Information for potential FlippaBall Pilot Providers What does the FlippaBall Pilot program look like? The FlippaBall model that must be delivered as part of the pilot phase is 8 x 1 hour sessions that include skill development activities and modified FlippaBall games. What is involved in delivery a pilot of the new FlippaBall? As part of becoming an official provider of a FlippaBall pilot you will be permitted to; • Use the new FlippaBall branding (as per provided guidelines) • Use the provided marketing kit to promote their FlippaBall programs • Use the provided delivery handbook and content to conduct a program License fees to deliver FlippaBall during the pilot phases will not be charged however ‘Official’ pilot providers are required to; • Sign and honor the FlippaBall Licence agreement prior to starting programs • Deliver the pilot program in accordance with the provided delivery handbook • Register all participants as per the prescribed financial model and pass on all required details to the State association / WPA within set timeframe • Provide detailed and constructive feedback within the set timeframe in the templates provided by WPA • Do not share, edit or reproduce the pilot resources during or upon conclusion of the pilot period unless notified in writing by WPA What is the purpose of the Pilot? The delivery of a series of FlippaBall pilots over the summer 2016/17 season will; • Allow for testing of proposed program content, pricing and structures in comparable settings • Collection of data and commentary from to enable future evidence based decision making for the program • Engagement of current clubs/coaches/providers, giving the opportunity to be involved in the testing and development process and support of the future full program launch How long is the Pilot phase? As of 1 December 2016, ‘Official’ pilots will be able to be conducted. Pilots must be fully wrapped up by 31 March 2017. Only ‘Official’ pilots may utilise the new FlippaBall branding and pilot content. To be deemed as an ‘Official’ pilot, the provider must have signed a pilot license agreement and work with respective State office on delivery of the pilot content. What coaching requirements are in place for the Pilot? It is mandatory that a WPA accredited coach is used to deliver all pilot FlippaBall programs. The recommended accreditation is the new national Community Coach accreditation. FlippaBall PILOT Become a Pilot Provider - Dec 2016 What Tools/Resources do I receive as an official pilot provider? A complete Delivery Handbook and Marketing Tool Kit has been developed for use during the pilot phase. The handbook includes the program curriculum, coaching and delivery points, sample lesson plans and a complete activity catalogue to be followed. The Marketing Kit has been developed to assist providers in promoting their program and encouraging participant registration. The Marketing Kit includes the new logo, branding guidelines, social media images and experts, PR templates and posters. How are participants registered in the pilot? Registration details of all participations during the pilot phase is different to normal registration and is required to be collected in full and passed on to the State Association / WPA within two weeks of program completion. Participant registration is also necessary to ensure that participants receive their pack which includes a Ball and they become eligible for future rewards and incentives! ‘Official’ Pilot programs are supplied with a sample participant registration form which may be used. A provider may choose not to use this form if they wish however all the required information must be collected and in the participant summary registration template (not a collection of the forms if used).
