Working with a life model, this short course offers an in-depth study of the human form. Observe the gestural activity of the body as a whole and consider the proportions and arrangement of the body’s large structures in space. Gain technical knowledge in the making of classical sculpture with armature construction (internal framework) and progress to modelling in clay. Studying the figure from life provides a personal library of creative possibilities to be used figuratively or to open the visual artist up to more abstract design possibilities. Student work Life Class WEEKEND Courses 1 Draw the Big Picture 4 Rhythm and the Figure A stimulating weekend of drawing for sculpture. Observing the life model, demystify the complexity of the human form. The essence of the figure in motion is fleeting.
