Once again, Duncaster is one of the a proud sponsors of
the Jewish Film Festival. There are a number of FREE
tickets available for the March 21st films “JERRY LEWIS:
The Man Behind the Clown” and “The Last Blintz”
to be shown at 1pm at Emanuel Synagogue in West Hartford. In addition, there are
a limited number of tickets for the final film “ Fanny’s Journey” and reception at 7pm
on March 26th.
Bus transportation will be provided to the 4pm CONCORA
Concert on Sunday, March 19 at Trinity Chapel at Trinity
College. Residents must purchase their own tickets online at
www.concora.org or by calling the Box Office at
860-293-0567.
Elizabeth Park Conservancy’s Spring Greenhouse Show
Duncaster is a sponsor of this show, and residents are invited
to tour the Greenhouse on Friday, March 24th. The tour will be
followed by a coffee reception in the Pond House Café. Bus will
depart from the Fitness Center lobby at 9:30am. Sign up in
the TRIPS Book today! Plants will be available for purchase so
be sure to bring $$$.

The Lost Acres String Band (violin, guitar, upright
bass and vocals) plays a sophisticated mix of songs
and instrumentals from a wide variety of musical
traditions. The repertoire covers a broad spectrum of
musical colors and moods, with the added interest of
several exotic original compositions.

Actor & Storyteller
George Capaccio
In this one-hour, interactive performance, George Capaccio invites you to
enter the boundary-breaking universe that is the mind of Albert Einstein.
You’ll discover that time and space are inseparable, that time actually slows
down the faster you go, and that if you could travel at the speed of light,
time would actually stop!
But there’s a lot more to the story than Einstein’s insights into the nature
of reality. George focuses on the great scientist’s very human qualities,
including his sense of humor, his fondness for Jewish jokes, and his trials
and tribulations as a family man.

Collection and other Irving Berlin related media from Goodspeed’s
Scherer Library of Musical Theatre.
