SUNDAY SCHOOL - It’s “back to school” time!!
Sunday School classes for 2014/15 will start back
up again on Sunday, Nov. 2 and run through Palm
Sunday. Classes are held during the 9:30 Sunday
morning mass, and all children ages 3-5 are
eligible to attend. Enrollment forms are available in
the back of church. Please fill out the form and
return by Oct. 12th. For further questions/details,

[email protected]. Please take advantage of
this wonderful opportunity for your child to learn
about God’s love & presence in their lives! Also, if
anyone is interested in helping teach this year, feel

ODENWELLER. He died September 19 at the age of
71. May the Lord grant Richard eternal rest and life in

FIRST FRIDAY MASS, BENEDICTION, &
EXPOSITION
The Church recommends that on the first Friday of
the month we as Catholics, go to Confession, attend
Mass and receive the Eucharist worthily. First
Friday Mass is for the Sacred Heart of Jesus that
bleeds each time we sin. On first Friday we pray for
the healing of the Sacred Heart of Jesus, our own
sins and the sins of the world. First Friday Mass is at
8 a.m. followed by Benediction and Exposition of
the Blessed Sacrament with closing at Noon.
FIRST SATURDAY MASS & EXPOSITION
Mass for the Immaculate Heart of Mary on the First
Saturday of every month at 8 a.m. Exposition of the
Blessed Sacrament will be before Mass beginning at
7 a.m. We will come together to pray for the sins of
the world and our salvation.
ADULTS NEEDED: Battle of the Youth on October
5th . Planning Meeting September 28th 1:00 pm
Finalize locations of games and playing the games.
Come to have some laughs or contact Mary Maag if
you can help. Adults will be running games,
registrations, score keepers, kitchen help and spending
time with our youth. Come to see what this is all
about.
YOUTH GROUP MEETING - September 28th at
7:00 pm in Rectory basement. All 7th thru 12 grade
youth welcome.
SENIOR PLAY - The Fort Jennings High School
"Class of 2015" will be presenting their senior class
play, "SHOW AND SPELL" on Friday, October 3rd
and Saturday, October 4th. Both performances will
begin at 7:00 pm --- in the School Auditeria. Pre-sale
tickets will be available in the High School Office,
Monday, September 29th thru Friday, October 3rd --- 8
am to 12:30 pm, each day. Tickets will also be
available at the door for $5.00.
CHICKEN SUPPER – Sunday, September 28th at the
American Legion from 4pm – 6 pm, Cost is $8. To
benefit our local youth SAY Soccer program.

Academy for Life on October 11 - The Respect Life
Office of Catholic Charities will host an “Academy for
Life” on Saturday, October 11, 2014 at Rosary
Cathedral in Toledo. The event is designed to equip,
train and energize the pro-life community. Join us as
we learn to articulate the culture of life in our homes,
churches, schools, workplaces and the public square.
The Academy is open to all ages and will include
presentations on pro-life apologetics and Mass. The
event is 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Registration is $10 and

2014 Jubilee Wedding Anniversary Mass &
Reception at Our Lady Queen of the Most Holy
Rosary Cathedral on October 19, 2014 + 3:00 P.M.
Join Diocesan Administrator, Reverend Charles F.
Ritter, and the Office of Marriage and Family Life as
we commemorate 25, 40, 50, 60, and 60+ years of
marriage for couples in the diocese of Toledo. A
reception featuring refreshments and the distribution of
commemorative certificates will follow. Please register
through your parish.
OPEN HOUSE at Delphos Senior Center on Tuesday,
Sept. 30 & Wednesday, Oct. 1 from 10 am to 4 pm.
The Senior Center also serves delicious meals, catered
by our local nursing homes, on Mondays through
Fridays at 11:30 am. The cost is just $2.00 per meal.
Stop in to pick up a new menu. Call by 1:00 pm the
day before if you wish to come and have lunch. Bingo
is offered every day after lunch, the cost is 25 cents to
play then 1 penny per card per game (limit of 4 cards)
special games may cost 5 cents per card. Join us!!
FLU SHOTS – Delphos Senior Citizens Center on
Thursday, October 23 from 12:30 – 2:30. Bring your
Medicare Card or Advantage Plan Card with you,
otherwise the cost is $30.
CASINO TRIP – Hoosier Park, Anderson, IN on
Sunday, Nov. 2. Cost is $30 – ($10 in play & $10 in
food when arrive at Casino). 7:30 am bus arrives, 8:00

Family Fun Night Hosted by World Wide Marriage
Encounter - Saturday, October 4, 2014-6:30-9:30pmPutnam County YMCA. Enjoy a family day of
swimming and other activities. Participating families
are asked to bring a snack to share during the event.

Religious Education News
Elementary K-6 - This past Wednesday Father
Charles stopped down after Mass and was able to
stop in a few class rooms and talk with the
children. They were so excited to see him and
talk with him! 5th grade parents there was a note
sent home about server training dates. First one
is October 4th after 8:00 mass, so approximately
8:30 a.m. with Father Charles. 2nd one is
October 11th @ 10:00 a.m.

Oct. 3rd: 4th grade

Oct. 17th: Kindergarten with 6th grade help
Jr. & Sr. High Religion - To all Confirmation
parents: the date has changed due to the
Bishop's schedule. Father Charles received a call
last week giving us a new date. March 7th at
11:00 a.m. at the Cathedral in Toledo is the
new date of our Confirmation. You will be
receiving information from your child (sent home
from class) about important dates and other
information in the near future.
