Roughing Tool Path for Indexable Radius Tool To perform indexable tools more efficiently, a new roughing pattern of "Round 2" has been added in the Machining Condition sheet of "Z-level Rough Cutting with Multiple Tools". < Feature > 1) Round path with lead-in from outside can be achieved, reducing the slanting lead-in path. 2) Movement of the tool path for remains is improved, extending the tool path outside in stead of circular. 3) "Connecting Move" makes tool-path more efficient. 4) “Run-over amount“ from work-edge can be specified. High-efficient roughing tool path, which reduces the degradation of cutting tools, can be also created, using enhanced feed-rate control function for out-side of stock simultaneously. Climb-up Roughing in “Z-level High Efficiency Rough Cutting” Climb-up roughing function has been added as a new variation of “Z-level High Efficiency Rough Cutting”. High-performance roughing can be achieved by using blade length of the tool efficiently. It enables to reduce 40% of machining time compared from conventional Z-level roughing. < Feature > Roughing step-over for each Z-level varies up to “Max. variable step over”, considering cutting-load from “XY step over”. Variables for Profile Setting 5 types of variables for tool shape & standard values has been available. When a calculation formula using the variables is input as parameter value, calculation result can be specified automatically as the parameter value. < Example for usage of machining template with Tooling DB & Variables > After preparing Tooling DB with machining condition for stock material, profile parameter values can be set automatically when selecting a cutting tool for each stock material from Tooling DB into a cutting profile with variables. Saving template for each stock material is no longer necessary in combination with Tooling DB & cutting profile using variables. Enhancement of Calculation Process Sheet ●Control Calc. Mode Display items can be added & selected. It has been also possible to change parameter values in plural processes at once directly, etc. ●Edit Profile Mode (New) Using of “Edit Profile Mode” enables the operators to check and edit the profile parameters without opening the calculation condition sheet. Maintenance for Templates Editor for templates has been enhanced drastically. Functions of “Display all profile info”, “Direct parameter input”, “List-up processes”, “Editing plural profiles” and etc. are added. Moreover, setting items in control window can be changed in the editor. Calc. Time of “Check Interference” for 5-axis CL Box Cycle Cutting As a dedicated machining strategy for vertical walls, “Box Cycle Cutting” has been newly released. Considering slide direction of the mold, wall surfaces can be machined by vertical milling. Cutting area is defined by contours of 3D curve.
