BSA is a better indicator of metabolic mass than body weight1,2
BSA is the measured or calculated body surface of an animal
BSA dosing requires the accurate determination of an animal’s body weight
Clinically, this is particularly critical for animals of smaller body weight
Smaller dogs (eg, dogs weighing less than 16 kg) will have a relatively
greater DEXDOMITOR requirement per unit body weight than larger
dogs (eg, dogs weighing more than 16 kg)

Do not use DEXDOMITOR in dogs with cardiovascular disease, respiratory disorders, liver or kidney diseases, or in conditions of shock, severe debilitation, or stress due to extreme heat, cold, or
fatigue. As with all 2-adrenoceptor agonists, the potential for isolated cases of hypersensitivity, including paradoxical response (excitation), exists. Arrhythmias, bradycardia, and emesis were
observed in dogs during the clinical field studies. DEXDOMITOR has not been evaluated for use in breeding, pregnant, or lactating dogs. For more safety information, refer to the accompanying
