Office of the Registrar I n t e r n e t S t u d e n t I n f o r m a t i o n S y s t e m ISIS Online Registration 1) Go to ISIS: https://isis.mtholyoke.edu 2) Log in by clicking “Log In” at the top of the ISIS Main Menu. Enter your MHC userID and password. 3) Select “ISIS for Students” in the lower left corner. Step 1: Click Log In tab, then enter your MHC userID and password. Step 2: Click ISIS for Students. 4) Select “Registration” • August 16, 2007 You will see a list of five options. Click on the red title of the action you would like to take to update your registrations. A full description of each of the options is below. Important Note: You may create class requests as soon as the class schedule is available for an upcoming term, but you will not be able to take action on requests (i.e. to register yourself -- actually add the classes to your schedule) until after your individual registration access time has arrived. Option 1: Search and Register for Classes - Use the documentation titled “Search for Classes” if you do not know how to search for classes. This information is not included here. August 16, 2007 1a) Once a search is completed and the results have been returned to you, you may create a request for a course by clicking on the column titled “Select” and then clicking Submit. Note: If the course you are attempting to register for is a variable credit course, such as an independent study, you must record the number of credits that you intend to take. August 16, 2007 1b) The course request will not be processed until you indicate what action you would like to take on that request. Click on the down arrow under the column titled “Action”, select the appropriate action, then click Submit. The courses you are currently registered for show on the bottom half of the page, so that you can check for time conflicts and withdraw from (drop) a course if needed by clicking on the “Drop” column there. Requests you have created but not taken action on remain at the top of this page. Select an action and click Submit. Remember that you can’t actually Register or Waitlist for any course until the start date/time for your individual registration access has passed. (See that date & time on ISIS Approvals, Holds & Registration Access Times display.) So it’s fine to create requests in advance of your registration access time, but you won’t have success with certain actions until your registration time has begun. Any courses for this term that you are already registered for will appear under the “Current Registrations” heading. Click here to withdraw from/drop a course you are currently registered for. August 16, 2007 1c) The page below will appear to indicate whether the actions you submitted were performed or not and, if not, why. Action results are shown in the “Status” column. Any that are unsuccessful will also display explanations above. Current registrations will be displayed here. Waitlisted courses will be displayed here. August 16, 2007 Option 2: Express Registration To use the Express Registration option, you must use the Search for Classes option first and find the synonym for each course you would like to register for. The synonym can be found under the column titled “Course Name” in parentheses. It is a five digit code that is associated with a specific course. Enter the synonym in the column labeled as such on the Express Registration screen, and click Submit. Or you may enter all of the other criteria (subject, course number, section number and term) and click Submit. Once your requests are submitted you must follow steps 1b and 1c above to complete your requests and register for the courses you want. August 16, 2007 Option 3: Register for Previously Selected Courses This option allows you direct access to any requests you have already created but not taken action on yet. From this list of requests, you may choose to attempt to register or waitlist or to drop a request. You can also use the bottom half of the page to withdraw from (drop) classes you already have on your schedule. Requests you have submitted but not taken action on remain at the top of this page. Select an action and click Submit. ANY COURSES YOU ARE ALREADY REGISTERED FOR IN THIS TERM APPEAR HERE Click here to drop a course you are currently registered for.
