Tetra Pak® Dip and Transfer unit 1000 M1 Pick-and-place system Application Operating principle The Tetra Pak Dip and Transfer unit 1000 M1 pick-andplace system is intended mainly for use with Tetra Pak ® Extrusion Tunnels M1/M2/A3 models, and maybe used for wide range of products. The Tetra Pak Dip and Transfer unit 1000 M1 (pick-andplace machine) is composed of the following main components: Typical example of product types arethe following: • Product transport with interchangeable lamellas. • Product on stick handles (all types) • Chocolate tank for products coating when required. • Products without sticks (ball cones, wafer cups, candy bars, bricket, sandwich, mini-bites, etc.) • Product release group with interchangeable gripper heads. ® • Product pick-up group with interchangeable gripper heads. • Electrical cabinet including operator interface panel. • Pneumatic cabinet. Tetra Pak Dip and Transfer unit 1000 M1 is synchronized with Tetra Pak Extrusion Tunnel using a PLC. The products coming from the Tetra Pak ® Extrusion Worktable are picked up and then transferred by rotation into the lamella conveying system for coating application, then the products are released onto a pocket conveyor system for the wrapping. Tetra Pak® Dip and Transfer unit 1000 M1 Pick-and-place system Standard design Product pick-up Product release group The pick-up is designed with a horizontal movement to follow the products on the trays and a vertical movement with a rotating arm to move the products from the trays of the Tetra Pak ® Extrusion Tunnel to the lamellas of the Tetra Pak ® Dip and Transfer unit. Both movements are controlled by individual servo motors to ensure synchronization with the production speed of the Tetra Pak Extrusion Tunnel M1/M2/A3. The product release is designed with a horizontal movement from the lamellas to a pocket conveyor. The movement is driven by a pneumatic cylinder. After the extraction the products are released onto a pocket conveyor system leading to the wrapping machine. Product transport with interchangeable lamellas. The products are transported to the chocolate dipping tank for the coating operation and then moved to the product release station. Each lamella carries 9 products (in case of Tetra Pak Extrusion Tunnel M1) or 12 or 16 products (in case Tetra Pak Extrusion Tunnel M2). The lamellas are interchangeable according to product types. Control panel All functions and movements are controlled by the PLC of the central control cabinet. All production data can be adjusted through the operator panel. Safety The Tetra Pak Dip and Transfer unit (pick-and-place machine) is equipped with safety guards and emergency stop.
