May 27th Update
We have had many trucks delivering equipment to the site in the last couple of weeks. We had delivery
of two evaporator stands and seven evaporator vessels. We also received loads of stainless steel pipe,
fittings and the Grain Mill this week.
Hipperson Construction is working on the structural steel for the building that houses the Distillation
Equipment. They have completed the installation of the gratings and handrails on the elevated
platforms in the Process Building. They have also installed the steel joist and decking above the MCC and
Mechanical rooms.
Simplex-Grinnel Ltd completed the installation of both main and sprinkler piping for the Fire Protection
System in the Process Building.
Power Comm completed installation of the lights in the Process Building.
D & F Welding are fabricating piping spools and moved in the Syrup Storage Tank into the Process
Building.
Framing, rough in electrical and plumbing of the offices and MCC rooms in the Process Building has been
completed. Bachman’s Drywall of Unity is presently dry walling the office and MCC rooms.
The Evaporator Stands which weigh approximately 100,000 pounds were installed this week. They were
fabricated by Huge L Steel of Regina. These stands hold seven Evaporator Vessels which were supplied
by Anhydro Inc. of Olympia, Illinois and were fabricated in Montreal. Total weight of the Stands and
Vessels would be in excess of 150,000 pounds.
Ducherer Builders are presently constructing the Cooling Tower.
Target Excavating of Provost ploughed in 4 inch piping from the well locate ¼ mile north of the plant and
the well 1 mile east of the plant. Each well can produce in excess of 100 gallons per minute. They used a
Boring Machine to bore the line under the Trans Gas Line, The RM Road, The Railway Bed and under a
slough which they had to go through.
There are currently
in excess of 70 workers on site this week.
