Add a signup form to Facebook
Invite people to join your mailing list directly from your business Facebook Page using our Facebook signup form
app. Installing the app adds a form to the left sidebar of your Page, and to the navigation below your cover image.
Before you start
To add the signup form to Facebook, you will need:

An account in our email marketing app.
A Facebook account.
A Facebook Page.
Admin or Editor status for the Facebook page, so you have permission to add apps to it.
Installing the signup form app
To add a signup form to your business Facebook Page:
1. Log in to your Facebook account, then to install the app, click:
https://apps.facebook.com/createsend/
2. On the security prompt, click Okay, then click Okay again to allow the application to manage your Page.
3. Fill in your email marketing account details: your site address, the email address you log in with, and password. If you don’t know your site address, please contact your administrator.
4. Click Log in to link the Facebook app to your email marketing account.
5. Select the Facebook Page to add the signup form to, then select the list people will sign up to.
6. You can now set your “Intro message” and “Thanks message.” The intro message is shown as a title above your signup form, while the thanks message is shown after someone has subscribed.

Select the list custom fields to be included in your signup form, then click Save Form, followed by Go to my page.
The next page adds a “Subscribe to Newsletter” tab to the navigation bar below your Page cover image. Select your Page from the dropdown menu, then click Add Page Tab.
When your Facebook Page loads, the signup form will be added to the “Apps” section in the left sidebar.
Facebook has been updated since our signup form app was developed. Rather than the
signup form being found at the top of the page as demonstrated during setup, you will find it
in the left sidebar in the “Apps” section.
Display your Facebook signup form on your Page’s main navigation
After you install our Facebook signup form app, a “Subscribe to Newsletter” tab is added to the navigation bar
below your Facebook Page’s cover image.
Initially it will be hidden under the “More” button on the right, because only the top four navigation items are
shown. Below we’ll explain how to reorder the tabs so “Subscribe to Newsletter” is always displayed.
To move the “Subscribe to Newsletter” tab into your top four
navigation items:

Log in to Facebook, and open your business Facebook Page.
Under the cover image, click More at the right side of your navigation.
Select Manage Tabs.
Click and drag Subscribe to Newsletter so it’s one of the top three below “About.”
Click Save.
The “Subscribe to Newsletter” navigation will now be visible at
the top of your Page, in addition to the left sidebar.
Changing the signup form settings
To change the settings for a signup form already added to Facebook:

Log in to Facebook, and open your business Facebook Page.
At the top right, click Settings.
In the left sidebar, click Apps.
Under “Subscribe Form,” click Go to App.
Make your changes, then click Save Form, followed by Go to my page.
Customizing the signup form image
You can replace the default signup form image with your own. Accepted file formats are JPG, GIF and PNG. The
image must be 111 x 74 pixels and under 1MB in file size.
To customize the image used in the signup form:

Log in to Facebook, and open the Facebook page you manage.
At the top right, click Settings.
In the left sidebar, click Apps.
Under “Subscribe Form,” click Edit Settings.
Next to “Custom Tab Image” click Change.
Hover the cursor over the signup form image, and click Edit.
Click Choose File to upload your new image.
Return to your Page’s timeline to see the change.
Removing the Facebook signup form app
To remove the subscribe form from your Facebook Page:
1. Log in to your personal Facebook account.
2. Click the down arrow at the top right.
3. Click Settings.
4. In the left sidebar, click Apps.
5. Hover your cursor over “Subscribe Form,” and click the “X” button that appears. If you can’t find the app, click the Show All link below the shown apps.
6. On the confirmation dialog, click Remove.
7. Open the business Facebook Page you manage.
8. At the top right, click Settings.
9. In the left sidebar, click Apps.
10.In the “Added apps” section, click the “X” button to the right of “Subscribe Form.”
11.On the confirmation dialog, click Yes.
Troubleshooting
In some situations, our Facebook signup form app may not finish installing. Below are ways to address the most
common issues.
Endless reload loops
Reload loops are usually related to third-party cookies being disabled in your web browser. To enable third party
cookies, refer to your browser’s help documentation:

Other installation issues
Most other issues relate to either Facebook’s strong caching, or your browser cache. These can be resolved by:
1. Removing the app.
2. Clearing the cache and cookies in your browser:
a. Chrome
b. Firefox
c. Edge
d. Safari — El Capitan, Yosemite
3. Reinstalling the app.
If you still can’t resolve your issue, contact your administrator.
