FACT SHEET ON GUJARAT
The 16th Lok Sabha elections would be held in the 26 Parliamentary Constituencies of Gujarat on
single poll day, namely April 30, 2014. Polling will be held at 45,313 polling stations spread across
27,360 polling station locations. Out of the state’s total of 3,98,71,571 electors as on 3rd January
2014, 15.03% are in the age group 18–25 while women constitute 47.67%. The poll expenditure
limit per candidate for all constituencies in the state is Rs.70 lakhs.
