About a month ago, Dr.
Seuss’s wife Audrey Geisel
found a never published
manuscript at their old
house. Dr. Seuss passed
away a long time ago but
people keep finding more
old manuscripts. With Dr.
Seuss’s sketches, Random
House children’s books will
publish a recently discovered manuscript titled
“What Pet Should I Get?”
Dr. Seuss was an American writer and cartoonist
mostly known for his children’s books. Really, his
real name is Theodor
Seuss Geisel. He was born
on March 2, 1904. September 24, 1991 was when he
died. Dr. Seuss’s 46 chil-
dren’s books are
published so far.

Google Tests Self-Driving Cars
The Google self-driving car is
a project by Google that involves
developing technology for
autonomous cars, mostly electric
cars. The software powering the
car is called Google Chauffeur. On
the side of the car it says it is a
“self-driving car”. The team
developing the system are 15
engineers working for Google. Laws
have been passed in four states and
Washington D.C. allowing driverless
cars. The state of Nevada passed a
law on June 29, 2011 permitting the
operation of autonomous cars in
Nevada. The Nevada law went in
effect March 1, 2012. In April
2012, Florida became the second
to allow driverless cars, California
the third and in December 2013,
Michigan became fourth. In July 2014, the city of Coeur d’Alene,
Idaho adopted a robotics law that
allows for self-driving cars.

Lyuba
Lyuba is a female woolly mammoth calf who died 41,800 years
ago, at the age of 30 to 35 days. Lyuba was discovered May, 2007
in Russia. Lyuba means love in Russian. Her body is so well
preserved because she was buried in wet clay and mud and then
frozen. Between May 23, 2014 and September 7, 2014 a special
exhibit about the ice age featured Lyuba in the London museum.
It was an amazing experience to see Lyuba with her fur from the
Ice age in person. I hope that everyone can visit her sometime.

Soccer is Fun
Soccer is a fun sport for kids.
You kick the ball into the goal to score a point .Soccer is fun
because you have to out run the other team. I played soccer in
a soccer field two weeks ago.
I feel happy and strong when I play soccer.
Soccer is so fun. You need a soccer ball to play. There are 11
players on a team. The goalie is the only one allowed to touch
the ball. The game is one hour. You cannot push or trip a player.

Miles For Music
This story is about my Dad and me. It is about my Dad and me running
the one miler. This event happened outdoor and near a street. When we
were there we were late, most people were coming our way. This event
happened on Sunday, the second last week of March. It is important
because not many people were there (from JMP). After that I played in
the bouncy house. The race was a fundraiser for Music classes! I
entered because I wanted to try out a real race. I really had a fun time
there and I think everybody had fun too.

Niagara Falls is Frozen
It was a freezing early morning
on February 28, 2015. My brother and I got dumped and
wrapped up in the car. My mom
was arranging the bags in the
car. It was going be a fun
adventure to Canada to see the
Niagara Falls frozen. It was
going to be a seven hour drive.
We were passing mountains and
we saw lots of big icicles. We
saw some icicles on the house
roofs were touching the land. At 1:00
P.M. we reached Taco Bell in Canada.
Then we went to see the Falls. We had
to put multiple clothes on to keep warm
and not get sick. I saw the American
Falls was all frozen and the Niagara Falls
was partly frozen. The Niagara river was
all frozen too and there is almost 5 to 7
feet of snow on top of it. If I would walk
on it I would be ice too. It is so unusually
crowded in February. All the hotels
around it was overbooked. This amazing
view happened because of the
Arctic Blast. The Arctic Blast
means the strong and cold winds
blowing to the southern places
and Eastern sides. The Arctic
Blast also has made Texas and
Florida cold this winter.

Thomas Edison Museum Field Trip
One day I was at school. It was our field trip to the Edison Tower. We went in
the afternoon. The bus drive was long. When we got there we stood near the
Edison Tower. After our tour guide explained everything about the tower, we
went in the museum and we saw many of Thomas Edison’s inventions. We saw the
phonograph. It was amazing. But now we don't use a phonograph we use a phone
or a radio. Then we went to the tent. We saw more inventions. We actually got to
use the inventions. When we got to bake I was so hot that I looked like I took a
bath! After the trip Ms Gumienny asked us to draw a picture of the Edison
Tower but with a different invention on the top. I made a candle that lights up
by pressing one button and it uses one battery and it can be used in a storm.

Inchworms
I love inch worms .They are really cute. They are 1 inch long. A
few of my classmates got an inch worm! I did not. At recess
Mariyam and me saw 1 yellow inch worm and 1 green inch worm. We
thought they were twins! That day I saw 7 inch worms!! Inch
worms do not hurt you. They are harmless. Imagine if you had an
inch worm as your pet. But you would not see it turn into a
butterfly, because it is not a inch caterpillar. Inch worms are
awesome ,cool ,great ,and wonderful.

Four teenagers and a kid and a robot stop a villain named Professor Callaghan from stealing Hiro’s
micro-bots. But he stole them. They thought it was Krei but it was Professor Callaghan. At the end,
Professor Callaghan was arrested and they all went back to engineering school.
I liked this movie because it was funny and scary. I give it 5 stars!

The BFG

The BFG is a nice and jumbly giant. In fact, he is the only big friendly giant
in Giant Country. All the other giants are big, bone crunching brutes, and now
the BFG and his friend Sophie must stop them guzzling up little human beings
with some help from her majesty the Queen.
I like this book because I like adventure and it’s very adventurous, it’s humorous, when I read
it I feel I’m the BFG/Sophie. It took place in one of my favorite places, England. It has a
character I would like to be, the Queen. I also like it because it’s interesting. The sentences
flow and they’re accurate, it’s fun to read and it’s exciting. I would rate it about 4 stars!

The Witch Eating Monkey
One day in Spooky Town the three witches heard a knock on the door so they
opened the door and saw a giant monkey…”roooaaarr” “AAAAAAAHHHHH” The
witches got scared of the mystical giant monkey named Senior Ballon! don, don, don!!
So, the youngest witch Karina went behind a bolder but the monkey smashed it…
BOOM! The witch named Suhani the second youngest witch went to the mountain of
schools but the monkey jumped up and crashed the mountain of schools! The oldest
witch was smart, the witch named Tanishaa. She jumped into her pot and tried making
a potion that could stop him! It was a love potion, it can make anyone stop being angry!
But it did not work! She tried using a sleeping potion, but it made him more angry. So
she gave up on potions.
The second oldest witch wanted to use some bait. “What will we use for bait” she
said. “Maybe some bananas” she whispered to herself. “No, we need to make a spell
that can make the bananas bigger!” So, she went to Ms. McCarroll’s garden and got
some musical bananas! “Oh please can we have five of your bananas?” cried the three
witches. “All right, you can only have five of them” said Ms. McCarroll.
When they got back to Spooky Town, the bananas went crazy! “Oh no! We got musical bananas!” The youngest witch did not pay attention to what they said so she
made the bananas bigger! They go to the pot and make a shrinking spell. But it did not
work. So they went to Ms. McCarroll and said “please we do not want the bananas.”
“Alright you can give your bananas back only if you give me a grow potion.” They gave
her the potion.
“Alright we got the bananas but it did not work! Wait! What if we use our rainbow
powers? But we are not charged enough. But if we say we will be friends forever it
will work! We’re friends, we’re friends, we’re friends!” So they wrapped their hands
around the monkey and said “We are friends, we are friends, we are friends, we are
friends, we are friends!”
“I was never evil. I just wanted a friend!” “We are sorry, it’s alright” Then they
lived happily ever after.
