Service Information Options
Ivanhoe Girls’ is ideally located with very good access by public transport. To service
those areas less well covered, the School has established two school bus routes with
Mee’s Bus Lines, an Eastern and a Northern service. Please see timetable.
Travel Options
Ongoing School Bus Travel
If your daughter intends to catch the bus on a regular basis you may consider purchasing
a permanent bus travel pass which is billed to your School account each semester, once
in February and again in June. The cost per semester in 2015 is $455.
Casual School Bus Travel
If your daughter only travels occasionally on the School bus a book of 10 travel tickets
is available at a cost of $50. This can be billed to your School account. Travel Request
forms must be completed, see ‘Request for Bus Travel’ below. Single tickets are not
available.
If your daughter intends to travel on the morning bus service, please advise Mee’s
Bus Lines (ph: 9459 3000) the day prior.
Request for Bus Travel
A student may only travel on the School bus if she has purchased either a permanent
travel pass or a book of casual travel tickets. A School Bus Request for Travel form is
available in the back of this booklet, on the Intranet or from the Administration Office.
A form must be completed and returned to the Administration Office prior to your
daughter using the bus service.
Issuing of Bus Travel Passes
Travel passes will be mailed to girls in the first few weeks of each semester. Your
daughter is required to keep her Bus Pass in her School bag as she may be requested
to show her travel pass at anytime while using the service. Casual tickets are issued
upon request (see above).
Travel Cancellation
(Permanent Bus Travel Pass holders only)
To cancel your daughter’s School bus pass please forward written notification at your
earliest convenience and have your daughter return her pass to the Administration
Office. Upon receipt of both these items the Accounts Department will adjust your
School account accordingly.
