Bus companies carrying Girl Scouts of Greater New York on a trip are required to have
a Certificate of Insurance on file at the Council before the trip. The following list
outlines those bus companies that have Certificates of Insurance on file, with the
expiration dates as noted. This list does not constitute a recommendation or
endorsement of these bus companies.
If you wish to use a bus company not on this list, the Council must have a Certificate
of Insurance from the bus carrier. The Certificate of Insurance must be for
$5,000,000 and list the Girl Scouts of Greater New York as Certificate holder. Please
request that the company send their Certificate of Insurance to the Council (address
above), Attention: Elizabeth Lopez. Please call Ext. 238 to make sure it has arrived
before your trip.

Going forward, we will also check the Department of Transportation (DOT) status
page to review bus company safety records. If there are alerts posted, we may not list
a bus company. We recommend before you engage a bus company that you also
review their safety record which is posted online at. http://www.fmcsa.dot.gov/safetysecurity/PCS/Consumers.aspx.
