Large rubb er fenders and long through rods will be replaced to extend th e life of the breakwater. 10fl Pacific Pile and Marine employees plumb one of the 240-foo t, 24-inch pilings at the Don Statter MemOIial Boat Harbor in Auke Bay on Friday. Fifteen pilings of that length will be driven into the mud with a vibratory hammer until they hit bedrock then a drill will be placed inside the pile and the dlill Iig connected at the top. A 20' deep socket will be drilled out the bottom of the pile, and then the pile can be permanently driven into the socket.
