Endometriosis Fact Sheet - Women`s Health Naturally

Endometriosis Fact Sheet
If you have been diagnosed with endometriosis then chances are you suffer from chronic and sometimes debilitating pain.
You may also suffer from heavy bleeding during your period. Symptoms can be severe and disabling, and you may be at
your wits’ end knowing what to do to get relief.
Endometriosis is a significant women’s health issue and one of the most common gynaecological problems in Australia,
affecting around 1 in 10 women. It is believed cause up to 50 percent of infertility cases.
It is usually diagnosed by pelvic examination, ultrasound or laparoscopy and sadly, it is often very difficult to treat.
Many women are unaware that a naturopathic program can correct this naturally, as you’ll discover here.
Tania’s story
Tania is in her late 30s and has just been diagnosed with endometriosis. She has suffered from period pain all
her life, but lately the pain seems to go all month, extending into her back and shoulder blades. She also feels
pain when she goes to the toilet, and when having intercourse.
She and her husband Tim have been trying to conceive for over a year. It was found she had endometriosis
when her specialist did a laparoscopy. During the surgery, it was found that Tania has endometrial lesions on
her ovaries and fallopian tubes, and that may be why she hasn’t been able to conceive yet.
Tania and Tim are shattered by this news and want to do everything possible to get rid of the endometriosis
so they can start a family. Tania’s specialist says she has a ‘window of opportunity’ to get pregnant for a few
months following the laparoscopy, as he has removed as much of it as possible during the surgery, but he says
she needs to ‘get in quick’ before further deposits grow back.
They are looking for natural ways to stop the endometriosis from returning so they can get pregnant and have
the family they have always wanted.

through the fallopian tubes and into the abdominal cavity
•
Lymphatic flow theory - the spread of endometrial tissue throughout the body via the lymphatic system

Chemical exposure

Immune and inflammatory factors

within six months.
