This bottle Rocket Launcher is not a toy! It was designed to be used

This bottle Rocket Launcher is not a toy! It was designed to be used in a safe, thoughtful manner by teachers who want to
demonstrate engineering concepts. Please read and abide by the following.
1.
The maximum operating pressure (MOP) recommended should never exceed 80 PSI as indicated by the safety stickers!
PET bottles can rupture from anywhere between 110-185 PSI and as the Bottle Rockets will be
re-used a maximum pressure of 80psi is recommended to ensure spontaneous rupture is
avoided.
2.
Both of the 6mm high pressure lines are color coded and have to be connected to the color
codes push fittings as illustrated in the pictures below.
3.
The lines that are equal in length are to be used on the control end. The lines that are unequal in length are to be used
on the bottle rocket end.
4.
The maximum amount of water that can be used is 300ml. To exceed this can place excessive strain on the filler tube
and can result in it bending, rendering the launcher unusable.
5.
Please allow 5 meters behind and 100 meters of clear area in front on the Bottle Rocket Launcher as indicated in the
diagram below. This will reduce the possibility that a person could be struck.
Disclaimer
In no respect shall the manufacturer of the Bottle Rocket Launcher incur any liability for any damages, including, but limited to, direct, indirect, special,
or consequential damages arising out of, resulting from, or any way connected to the use of the item, whether or not based upon warranty, contract,
tort, or otherwise; whether or not injury was sustained by persons or property or otherwise; and whether or not loss was sustained from, or arose out of,
the results of, the item, or any services that may be provided by the manufacturer.
6.
Do not use the launcher on windy days. The Rockets can wildly veer off course and potentially hit unintended targets.
7.
Do not allow the students to operate the Bottle Rocket Launcher as the safety stickers indicate. Although there will be
pressure for you to do so, the student is not adequately trained and aware of the safety requirements. Do not train students in the use of this device.
8.
Do not allow the students to catch the Bottle Rocket after it is launched. It is dangerous!
9.
The O ring on the nozzle requires a very small amount of vegetable oil smeared around the nozzle approximately every
10 launches or so. Check and feel if the O ring is greasy and free of dirt every launch. This will prevent damage to the O
ring, ensures a smooth release and long service life.

10.
Please leave 3 meters between the launcher and any electric cables to avoid any possibility of electrocution.
11.
The unit is to be operated on level ground.
12.
In some cases the handle for the control gear will arrive detached to allow for easy delivery. The handle should be attached by
placing in the 3 o’clock position as shown in the picture below for correct operation and fasten with the nut supplied.

1. Place launcher on top
rail and line up stainless
steel hold screws with
the holes as illustrated.
2. Using the cable ties
supplied, thread the tie
so that the head sits on
top as illustrated.
3. Pull down and
tighten. Remove tail as
illustrated using side
cutters.
