It is highly suggested that
you and your parents file
your 2015 taxes ASAP
and then complete the
FAFSA. If this is not possible, estimate your 2015
taxes as closely as possible,
submit the report, and
then go back and make

FAFSA stands for Free
Application for Federal
Student Aid and MUST
be filled out by all students planning to attend
college. This is the only
way to get any student aid.
It is a time consuming
process, but it doesn’t
need to be scary. The
FAFSA website is:
CSS Profile
Some private universities require that you fill out the
CSS Profile to be considered for financial aid. CSU
AND UC do not require this form! Go to
www.collegeboard.org to see if your college requires this
form.

CSU PLACEMENT TESTS—the ELM & the EPT
CSU requires that
each admitted
student takes
placement tests for
English and math.
These are the EPT
(English Placement
Test) and the ELM
(Entry Level
Mathematics Test).
They are not related
to your admission,
but are needed to
see where you will
be placed in English
and math. Some of
you may have one or
both of these tests
waived if you scored
high enough on the
SAT or ACT. You
need to register for
these tests as early as
possible. Go to
www.ets.org/testing
for more
information and for
test dates.
Don’t forget to be
checking your college
portals for important
information related to
testing and due dates.
The number one
reason students do not
get to attend college is
because of missed due
dates! Be diligent in
checking your portal!
