CRIJO PET PRODUCTS, LLC. 14x14 Sisal Figure 2 Accessories Attachment Instructions DOC120927-2 CRIJO PROPRIETARY INFORMATION FOR CUSTOMER USE ONLY PATENT PENDING 2012 CRIJO PET PRODUCTS, LLC Reference 1: Using Thumb Screws 3/4” Long Thumb Screw 1 1/2” Long Thumb Screw “Thumb Screws” are used in many places in Crijo Pet Products, such as attaching sisal to threaded inserts in Jump Post. At times, thumb screws have trouble screwing at the correct angle. If this is the case, DO NOT force them in as this will destroy the thread. Instead back them out a little, wiggle them to find the correct angle, and screw them back in all the way. Reference 2: Button Head Cap Screw (BCHS) Assembly This assembly is used wherever BHCS are mentioned, and typically in sets of four. Button Head Cap Screw - 1/4”-20 Thread - 1 1/4” Long Split Lock Washer Flat Washer Slide a 1/4” split lock washer then a 1/4” flat washer over a 1/4” Screw, and screw in with a 4 mm Allen Wrench. Reference 3: Tools Needed - 4 mm Allen Wrench Note: What is Sisal? Sisal is the natural fiber material that is found all over Crijo Pet Products. It is one of the many reasons cats love Crijo Pet Products. In fact, not only do cats love to scratch sisal, it gives them better grib on surfaces, and it has a pleasant natural odor to them. All sisal on Crijo New Generation Equipment can be removed, while the main structure is disinfectanted. For sisal replacement contact Crijo Pet Products LLC. Attaching Cat Beds to Bed Posts (Fig.1) Crijo Cat Beds attach to the top of bed posts, using four 1.25” long BCHS (Ref.2). Note: Cat Beds have ten holes that allow for four different placements on posts, and can be turned in four directions (Fig.1). Bed Post attached w/four 1 1/4” BHCS Assemblies (Ref. 2) Tower Base with Casters Attaching 14x14 Horizontal Sisal (Fig.2) The 14x14 sisal is typically used in horizontal orientations like on Crijo equipment bases. To attach, screw four 3/4” thumb screw (Ref.1) through the four grommets in the sisal and into the four inserts in the base. Crijo Towers have two 14x14 on the base (unless a hinge assembly is attached) and one on the top of the tower (Fig.2). Attaching Sisal to Vertical Posts (Fig.1) Vertical sisal allows cats to reach up to scratch. To attach, wrap a 10x16 piece of sisal around the designated area of a vertical post, so that the grommets on each end are aligned over the two threaded inserts in the post. Bed Post Screw two 3/4” thumb screws (Ref.1) through the sisal grommets into the inserts (Fig.1). Standard Jump Post End Cap with Sisal End Caps (Fig.1) Standard 5.5” dia. End Caps discs come standard on all Crijo jump posts, and are attached with 1.5” long thumb screws. They are interchangeable with End Cap Clamps when using Cat Walks and Cat Ramps. Attaching Sisal to Jump Posts (Fig.1) Jump Posts are the short horizontal posts that cats use to navigate up Crijo equipment (Cat walks/ramps are also laid across them). Wrap a 7x16 piece of sisal under and over a jump post, so that the grommets on each end are aligned over the two threaded inserts in the post. Screw two 3/4” thumb screws (Ref.1) through the sisal grommets into the inserts (Fig.1). Vertical Sisal Attaching Pyramids and Sisal (Fig.3) Two trapezoid shapes of sisal are attached to the side of the pyramid, and one bow-tie shape sisal is attached to the top, using a total of twelve 3/4” thumb screws. Four more thumb screws are used to attach the pyramid to the tower top (It can be oriented in two directions). For ease of installation, secure the 14x14 piece of sisal on top of the tower before attaching the pyramid (Fig.3).
