Charity - Potter Baseball

Potter Baseball Working with Some Special People
2014 was a great time to be involved in the Potter Baseball Tour, as new partnerships were formed, and old ones were
strengthened. First, the relationship that was made even stronger; Wesley Zablocki.
Wesley was first introduced to us in 2011 as part of a charity volleyball tournament played in Butler, PA during the
tour. Meghan Lucas, friends of the Zablocki family, and head volleyball coach at Butler High School, came up with this
idea; it was a big success. The Charity Event raised money for the Wesley in fight against cancer. The kids had a blast,
and it was an honor meeting the Zablocki family. On each of our trips back to Butler during our annual tour stop, Wesley
has been part of our planning, and the volleyball tournament has been a part of the tour.
Wesley is without a doubt one of my heroes!!
Wesley and Coach Potter
In 2015, Potter Baseball is committed to doing more, and getting more involved with the events supported by the
Zablocki family. One of those causes is the Ultimate Hike. This event, which takes place in late summer, is incredible.

Meeting New Friends…
Coach with Boyd Kurutz
Right down the road from Butler, heading west on Rte 422 for about 30 minutes, one will run into the town of New
Castle, PA. This town, specifically the area known as “Neshannock” has been home to the tour from the beginning. It
was quite an honor for the Potter Baseball Tour to be introduced to the Kurutz family this year. It only took that first
meeting to realize that Boyd was quite a kid.
Great tour night at Neshannock High school,
where almost $3,000.00 was raised for Boyd. Great job Coach Quahliero!
Boyd said he had THE BEST night of his life! Thank you to everyone who made this night happen. You are all amazing
people and we feel so blessed to have you in our lives! We just can't thank you enough. You made Boyd feel so special
and it was just so touching to say the least. Thank you so much for this benefit and for donating to Boyd's expenses.
You are such kind, amazing people. All our love. If you can kindly share this post with those that were at the benefit to
share our appreciation, we would truly appreciate it
