True or False?
1. PSAT 8/9 and PSAT 10 are only offered on two
specific dates during the school-year.
2. The K12 Reporting Portal allows for schools to assign
multiple access managers and user roles.
3. The College Board no longer provides a
PSAT/NMSQT: Summary of Answers and Skills report
to each school.
4. A student may only access their PSAT scores online
through their portal if they have been provided an
access code by their counselor.

Accessing the K–12 Score Reporting Portal: The Basics
• Before you can use the score
reporting portal, you need to
be given access.
• The Access Manager is the
person responsible for giving
access to anyone at your
school who needs it.
• You will be assigned one or
more reporting roles, based
on the information you need
to help your students.
Accessing the K–12 Score Reporting
Portal: The Basics
The Access Manager can use
the Invite feature to grant
access to individuals who need
to view student scores but
who don’t have a College
Board account or don’t work
directly for the school.
•
•
IMPORTANT: If you’re a principal or administrator who
has already assigned the Access Manager role:
•
That person will be the Access Manager until you
choose to have someone else take on that role.
•
You do not have to reassign this role every year,
and you will not receive a new access code.
All other roles are valid for no more than one year; the
Access Manager chooses the expiration date(s) when
they assign roles.
If you think you should have gotten an access code but
can’t find it, contact us at
[email protected] or 888-477-7728.

Compare Students’ Performance to Students Across the Country
Percentiles show how a student ranks in comparison to other
students. It represents the percentage of students whose scores
fall at or below the student’s score.
•
A test taker whose Math percentile rank is 57 scored higher or equal to 57% of test
takers.
There are two types of percentiles on PSAT/NMSQT® score reports:
•
Nationally Representative Sample Percentile: This compares an individual
student’s score to the scores of typical U.S. students in a particular grade.
•
User Percentile—National: This compares an individual student’s score to the
scores of typical U.S. College Board test takers in a particular grade. After this
year, it will compare students’ scores to the scores of prior-year test takers.

AP Potential™ is a tool that analyzes
students’ performance on the
PSAT/NMSQT® to let you know which AP
subjects individual students are likely to
do well in.
You can use AP Potential information to:
• Identify students likely to succeed on
AP Exams
• Determine which AP courses your
school should offer
This information can also be used to
boost the confidence of students who
may have never before considered
themselves ready to take AP.
