Women, Infants & Children (WIC)
Women Infants and Children (WIC) is a Federal program
administered in our local community by Cardinal Services.
This nutrition-based program serves more than 1500 people
throughout Kosciusko County each year: pregnant women,
new mothers, infants and children up to their 5th birthday.
WIC educators and nurses help expectant and new mothers
understand the long-term, nutritional value of breast feeding
and key foods to the health and development of their child.
They also distribute vouchers that allow families to purchase
the foods at local grocery stores and farmers’ markets.
