STRUCTURE
The Salt Lake Chamber Women’s Business Center, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, was established in 1997 and
is funded in part through a Cooperative Agreement between the Salt Lake Chamber and the U.S. Small
Business Administration (SBA). The center is headquartered in downtown Salt Lake City with six virtual
locations in Logan, Brigham City, Tooele, Vernal, St. George and Moab.
STAFF
The Women’s Business Center is supported by 8 staff including 4 full time women, 1 VISTA member and 3
part-time Salt Lake Chamber support staff.
MISSION
The Salt Lake Chamber Women’s Business Center (WBC) is a nonprofit entrepreneurial center that helps
Utah women build confidence, create opportunities, and experience success in business ownership.
The WBC provides LOW COST in-person and online training, FREE individual business consultation, and
networking opportunities for women business owners throughout the entire state of Utah. We believe any
woman can start and run a successful business with the right skills, resources, and support.
SERVICES
The statewide WBC accelerates women-owned businesses through in-person counseling, weekly technical
training and networking events to help women business owners learn how to successfully operate a
business. As their accountability partner, the WBC helps women get their businesses moving and guides
them through their entrepreneurial experience.
“The Women’s Business Center resources have informed, connected and inspired
me. I am so grateful for a place for my voice to be heard and my passions and
interests explored.”
Juanita Ramos
WBC Women Entrepreneur of the Year
Juanita Ramos Corum is the ultimate example of what a true women’s business owner should be.
She owns M2M Resource Development Group specializes in project development, fundraising
and connecting of people and resources for non-profit organizations, small businesses and native
groups. She also develops, produces, markets and sells her own line of native remedies and
products. Juanita’s business has grown vastly over this past year with many successful offers of
contracts with non-profits, government organizations and private consulting services.
As the sole owner of M2M Resource Development Group, Inc, Juanita has taken full advantage
of the Women’s Business Center services of consulting, training and networking. She meets
at least monthly with Deb, WBC business consultant, who is her accountability partner with
guidance through her entrepreneurial experience. She has participated in Business Essentials
workshops and been a panelist during a Business Women’s Forum luncheon.. Juanita giving back
by volunteering countless hours to many non-profit organizations, including the WBC where she
graciously serves on the development committee responsible for fundraising.
