High Temperature, Powdered Sulfur-Free Gel Stabilizer
FDP-S1081-13 high temperature, powdered sulfur-free gel
stabilizer is used in fracturing fluids, such as Hybor™ fracturing
fluids.
Benefits
FDP-S1081-13 gel stabilizer offers the following benefits:
• It helps prevent gel degradation.
Applications
• It has a shelf life of 36 months.
At temperatures above 200°F (93°C), FDP-S1081-13 gel stabilizer
increases the temperature stability of gelled fracturing fluids,
resulting in a long-lasting, high-viscosity fluid at temperature.
Typical FDP-S1081-13 gel stabilizer concentrations are 5 to 40 lb
per 1000 gal of fracturing fluid.
• The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) does not classify
FDP-S1081-13 gel stabilizer as a hazardous waste.
Compatability
While no compatibility issues are expected with respect to Hybor™
fluids, tests for compatibility with all fluid additives and any other
fracture fluid systems is strongly encouraged.
