Aussie of the Month Kira is a dedicated student who challenges herself to improve in small ways every day. She has shown great personal courage in overcoming her personal fears, whether it’s participating in a sporting game where balls may hit her, or presenting in front of her classmates. At our recent camp in Alexandra, Kira attempted every activity despite not always being comfortable about doing so. Her drive to extend herself and willingness to try new things makes her a great role model to her peers. Congratulations Kira on being our Aussie of the Month. Choir Performance Last week our choir was delighted to entertain the members of VIEW with a short performance. The choir sang “My Grandfather’s Hat and “Waltzing Matilda”. Many thanks to Miss Kops and Miss Bures for their work in preparing for this event. Ukulele Club This term, we have some super exciting news to tell you - we have started a Lunchtime Ukulele Club! The school has purchased six very bright and colourful ukuleles for students to learn and play. Each Thursday at lunchtime, interested students will learn how to tune, play simple chords and read songs together. We would like to do a short assembly performance to share our learning with you at the end of the term - please stay tuned for more details!
