Headway Certification
MASS and CARS Project
P R Hanna Solicitors are delighted to be accepted as
members of Headway – the brain injury association
Personal Injury Solicitors list. They are the only firm in
Northern Ireland to receive this certification. Patron for
Headway in Northern Ireland is Football legend Gerry
Armstrong.
A Northern Ireland Project, CARS (Citizens and
Responsibility in Society) has been given very welcome
support from the Motor Accident Solicitors Association
in the form of a £3000 sponsorship. CARS is a course
which was written and designed by Gerry Beattie (St
Josephs) and Neville Martin (PSNI) as an initiative
between St Josephs Boys School Derry and local services
– PSNI, NI Fire and Rescue Service, Ambulance Service,
DOE Road Safety Unit, NI Court Service, Probation
Board for NI and the NI Prison Service. Gerry Lee who
is the Northern Ireland Co-ordinator for MASS also
participated in the course and said MASS were delighted
to support this very worthwhile project and it was a
tribute to both Neville Martin and Gerry Beattie that
they had produced such a professional and
comprehensive publication which would undoubtedly
contribute to a greater understanding of the inherent
dangers in motoring amongst young drivers.

brain injury and their carers.
They help people
understand about brain injury, offer support, and run a
free information helpline (0808 800 2244). They also
produce a number of publications that explain the effects
of brain injury and what can be done to help. You can
