COLLAGE : A CELEBRATION OF INDIAN MUSIC
COLLAGE a French word meaning an
artwork made from an assemblage
of different forms. Dr. Rewa Natu presents a COLLAGE bringing together
various shades and forms of Indian Music in celebration of the rich tradition
of Indian Music. The COLLAGEs she presents includes classical, semi classical
forms , bhaktigeet (devotional compositions) , drama music (natyageet),
traditional folk compositions such as maand, hori, chaiti and so many.
Rewa has conceptualized this idea of a COLLAGE with the aim to popularise
Indian music by engaging the audience in classical as well as semi classical
forms. The COLLAGE can be woven with different themes which are listed
below and highly appreciated by the people. The programs can be designed for the duration of 1
hour 30 min (minimum) to 2 hours 30 min duration.








SHYAM GHAN CHAYYO - celebrating rains.
KRISHNA SAKHI – Lord Krishna and various women in his life like Yashoda, Draupadi,
Satyabhama, Radha, Meera and so on.
SWARTRAYEE – classical-semiclassical-bhakti-bhavgeet compositions by Late Manik Verma,
Late Jyotsna Bhole, and Vidushi Kishori Amonkar.
SWAR CHANDRA – celebrating the moon and the Sharad ritu through music.
SHAKTI – celebrating womanhood and various female deities.
NAMAN NATAWARA – program presenting the Natyasangeet from Marathi stage.
SHIV STUTI – compositions on Lord Shiva.
RITU GAAN –classical music associations with the six ritus.
About Dr. Rewa Natu
Dr. Rewa Natu, is a classical vocalist based in Pune. She has earned a Masters in
Music from the SNDT University, Pune and Sangeetacharya (PhD) from the Akhil
Bharatiya Gandharva Mahavidyalaya. She has got guidance of Late Dattopant
Agashebua, Late Pandit Sharad Gokhale and Dr. Digvijay Vaidya. She presently is
learning music from Dr. Vaidya.
She is an empanelled artist on All India Radio and has performed in renowned
music festivals such as the Sawai Gandharva Bhimsen Mahotsava, NCPA,
Mumbai, Dadar Matunga Cultural Centre, Karnatak Sangh to mention a few. She
has received many awards and honours such as the Late T D Janorikar award, Lalkaar Puraskar, Pt.
Vishnu Digambar Paluskar Puraskar, Pt. Vinayakbua Patwardhan Puraskar and many more. Rewa
ranked first in the All India Radio classical music competition and bagged the National Scholarship.
She was winner at the Discovery of India contest held by the Nehru Center, Mumbai.
