Continued developments in instrumentation and modeling
have driven atmospheric science to become increasingly
more complex with a deeper understanding of concepts,
mechanisms, and interactions. This is the field that innovation
built and it has led to a better appreciation for the complexity
with which planet Earth functions. Human life is intertwined
in this complexity as we strive to better understand our
atmosphere. Climate change is constantly stretching the
limits of our thinking and forcing new ideas and concepts to
be played out. Welcome to the Anthropocene!

Aims and Scope
Atmosphere (ISSN 2073-4433) is an open access, international,
interdisciplinary scholarly journal of scientific research related to
the Earth’s atmosphere. The AIM is to publish original research
papers, reviews, communications and short notes. Additionally,
special issues are devoted to cutting-edge research topics.
There is no restriction on the length of papers and manuscripts
undergo rigorous peer-review before publication.
We welcome experimental and modeling research or
combinations thereof. Supplemental materials providing
additional data files or detailed methodical information
are optional. These mechanisms provide an opportunity
for publication of the full details of research investigations.
